    It’s a narrow band that stretches for me to you. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an orientation like that which was so narrow. What causes that from a meteorological perspective?

    It’s an oddly really narrow band. Kind of unusual.

    Greenfield is right in this narrow band that’s running Southwest and Northeast. getting crushed now. +SN 29F

    It may not last but beautiful snow growth right now, dendrites just stacking. Not used to seeing that in the valley.

    Snow rates getting close to moderate here now. We have some decent bands moving up towards us!

    Yeah, I don’t really like seeing that “broken slate gray” look but it’s early still. Couple of flakes spitting here in Greenfield.

    38 to 40° up and down the valley so I think we’re going to waste the early precipitation.

    I saw snowmobiles out on Barton Cove on the Connecticut River. The oxbow in Northampton also had snowmobiles and tons of ice fishermen.

    I think west of Worcester and north of the Pike should prepare for mundane and just be happy that we’re getting accumulating snow. Any ticks east or weakening and out here we will be looking at a 2”- 3” type deal. I was hoping Berkshire East could pick up 6”+ but not really confident on that.

    Bull’s-eye over Kevin and snow hole over Ineedsleep and Dave? I can’t see that happening like that.

    I’m expecting about eight hours of light to moderate snow back this way. To avoid disappointment, I’m setting my expectations at 3”-5”. There are too many caution flags for me to expect more than that 90 miles inland.
