Watching “the day after tomorrow” with my nine-year-old for the first time and he is loving it! what a weenie movie, especially the global radar images shots.

Yeah looks like stations in Greenfield only got 0.12. Nada in Falmouth although I think they got it pretty good here on Saturday.

That only helps wells and reservoirs if those areas go right back to high and dry.

Tonight’s T-storms were either under forecast or people just were not paying attention. Every underpass on I-495 between Bolton and Middleborough had a half dozen or more motorcycles and riders parked underneath.

Rain was so intense we had to get off 495 in Milford and go hit five guys burgers. Constant cloud to ground lightning while driving South. we left Greenfield at 4 PM and had not gotten a drop of rain today.

This is exactly what my next door neighbors had done last week. I have not yet asked them if it made difference.

I am sure your lawn is toast and that sucks but I'm a little bit jealous. I currently only have a walk behind mower so I usually have about 2 hours of mowing. Then trimming. Outside of my container plants my vegetable garden was a disaster because we could not keep up with the watering and the rabbits. Although much to wife and child's chagrin, doggo did his best with the bunnies.

We had an issue a few years ago where our Internet and TV were getting erratic and they essentially had to replace a 1/2 mi length of cable because so many people on our street were complaining. The technician I talked to said that back and forth with warm weather and cold weather in the spring caused issues with creating slack in the lines. Supposedly that compromised the strength of the signal, at the time I called BS on what he was saying but I am not an electrical engineer. I suppose if the carrying capacity of the wire was somehow compromised it could cause issues.

I’m all for one more week of heat if it’s 88-90. Summer.

We are so far from done. The mental toll will really ramp up by winter if this continues with no finish line in sight. Then we get to the fuk it stage where some people start to give up and stop masking and distancing.

I was talking to a nurse practitioner from Baystate medical last night and she said Franklin Co has had 4 positives in the past month. A few more than that at Baystate Springfield but she said they only had two people hospitalized for it right now.

Summer hotter than others, you know they must have played together somewhere that night! Back in my Cambridge days I occasionally clinked glasses of Makers Mark with Peter Wolf and he had more than a few Muddy Waters stories to tell. He carries around a laminated, original Muddy biz card in his wallet.

I think I have had 9 or 10 over 90F this summer and despite our 90-100 mile difference, we usually are not that far off wrt temps.
