Three out of the four routes back to my house are closed because the Green River is above flood stage. What should be a 10 minute drive has now taken me close to 30 minutes. -
That seems like a term one shouldn’t google without a VPN.

Oh' OK, that's definitely power out for some folks. Power off ok, tree on house not. It's going to be interesting to see the wind field whistling up the valley from the south. We don't get these set ups that often.

What kind of gusts do you think are mixing down into the valley? 40mph?

34F rain now but it was fun to get an hour or two of plastering snow. .80" total Hoping winds are underwhelming in the N Pioneer Valley tomorrow.

It's way past your bedtime. What IPA are you drinking? I am not psyched for damage and hope it is minimal in Greenfield. However, you have a good shot at tropical storm force gusts on Mt Tolland. God Speed!

Not complaining because I loved it but I just shoveled an inch of heavy wet off a 100' driveway. Have elderly relatives coming for Christmas Eve and worried about a flash freeze. My snow blower fly wheel seized, hopefully that bodes well for 2023.

Yeah it was pounding all the way down to the valley until about 8 PM. 1” here. 31/27 -SN. The roads are absolute grease right now according to my Greenfield DPW neighbor.

Currently pelting snow and sleet in Greenfield Massachusetts. Don’t have a temperature reading for y’all because I am currently at the brewery enjoying some fermented libations with my coworkers.

Although it is close to bare ground IMBY, it was nice this week to be able to drive 15-20 minutes to fairly deep snow.

50 would be pretty impressive if you get several hours of gusts that strong. I doubt anybody in the lower elevations away from the coast is seeing that.

Yeah, outside of a severe thunderstorm, Greenfield has never seen a gust to 50mph.

Didn’t Conway Massachusetts have a tornado with snow on the ground a few years ago?
