  1. The Wall St casino. I looked at their website and it seems kind of hollow. This company comes out of nowhere and is now valued more than Costco? still, when I saw people hyping it in mid July I wish I had bought $100 worth..
  2. Freak and Dendy ganged up on him and he took his ball and went home.
  3. Terrible, 1.2” but most of that was earlier in the month.
  4. It’s ridiculous, the smaller rivers around here are ankle deep at this point.
  5. I would imagine that most towns in eastern Massachusetts have some type of watering restrictions in effect?
  6. Yup and although it offers some chances at “possible” robust precipitation events, it wasn’t exactly a confidence builder for erasing water deficits over the next few weeks. With regards to rainfall it seemed like the opportunities were there but certainly not guaranteed to manifest for everyone in that pattern. I’m mainly referring to all of the SNE drought victims. There have certainly been some areas north of here that have done much better with precipitation.
  7. Yeah, the differences in weather across the Cape are pretty amazing. I love it all from Falmouth to Provincetown and the variability in practical weather and water temperatures make it that much more special. Wish I got to spend more time out on the islands but just don’t have family or friends out there. Lol
  8. Haven’t been to the Cape since July 4th week but hopefully heading down again next week. Interestingly alot of of my friends on the Cape have said it’s been a really hot July down there which is sort of rare I think? We mainly do Falmouth (family there) but usually get in 4-5 days of camping in Truro. Often, during the hottest weather, the Falmouth/Cataumet side of Buzzards Bay stays cool from the SW breeze during heat waves. Apparently that has not been the case this summer but I can only go by secondhand information since I haven’t spent as much time down there as I like.
  9. They work fine, they don’t burn with as big a flame but they last a while.
  10. I’ll tell you what, looking at the models, the drought is going to start getting real for some folks in SNE.
  11. Has Hartford ever had the highest reading in the US on a given day? Novelty factor if it happens.
  12. I have to say, only a high of 83° here today but DP hit 67 and it felt pretty swampy out in the direct sun. Nice evening though. Currently 77/64. Pilsner style lager for the win!
  13. Oh, that will become painfully apparent during snow season.
  14. The number of Pine needles that came down in the late spring / early summer was unreal. I have to do my gutters this weekend also. The contractor who did our roof a few years ago was not into gutter guards. He said the only ones that really work are super expensive and need to be professionally installed. Otherwise most DIY guards still allow debris in and eventually you will need to clean the gutters but it will be a pain in the ass with the guards in place. I basically just assume I’ll spend an hour or two a couple of times a year on the ladder. However, my house is just a little custom ranch so it’s easy to access the gutters.
  15. Wow, Pike region jackpot again. Got a little over .10” here and that seemed like a win.
  16. Actually ended up with .10” in the rain gauge so that’s good. The difference between Vermont and the rest of New England with rainfall this summer is substantial.
  17. It’s been pretty amazing to see how storms weaken this summer as they move along the RT 2 corridor.
  18. It actually seems to be blowing up a little bit as it heads your way.
  19. Storm here was warned too but was weak sauce. Better goods are N & S.
  20. Welp, one rumble no wind. Over in about eight minutes. Looks like we picked up a quick .05” or so. Every little bit helps.
