  1. The Pioneer Valley was a big screw zone in that one. That was my first time around out here and I remember seeing headlines in the Boston Herald and USA Today 3 days out. We got relatively porked. I was living on the Belchertown - Amherst line at low elevation, in the shadow of the Holyoke Range. Infuriating. Downtown Amherst had about 10".
  2. Your area through Hubby and me has been precipitation impaired with many of these storms. Hopefully make up for it in the winter months.
  3. .15” here, the Rt 2 corridor continues to be the drought belt.
  4. 78/66 at 9pm is pretty good for Aug 30.
  5. it’s unbelievable, I have a couple of good friends that live along the RT 9 corridor in Vermont and they have double our totals in the MA RT 2 corridor. So many storms have just skirted N of the line between Vermont and Massachusetts.
  6. Yeah, I'm not ahead of you by much but at least had 1.5" last week. The GFS was a Steinwall for all but the spine of the Greens through day 12. PF using up all his yearly qpf on summer convection?
  7. There is nowhere in W MA North of I-90 that looks that green. A few haves this summer and lots of have nots.
  8. Only temporarily, then a life ending arctic climate will be coming to us. Sure wish I could be around for start of that part of it!
  9. That’s more rain that I’ve had for July and August combined.
  10. Big snowy December incoming. Deal with it!
  11. $22 per beer?!? It better come in a pail at that price.
  12. The thought of that makes me cringe.
  13. I have to admit, 78° at midnight in late August is pretty sweet.
  14. Congrats on no power! Yard cleanup is going to take you hours tomorrow.
  15. Nice lightning shot with the bonus UFO on the right.
  16. Yeah, we got about a hundredth of an inch here.
  17. We had a three minute shower here, no thunder.
  18. Drought debbies, can enjoy their isolated victories this week but long range looks pretty dry. I empathize with those who missed the rain this week. It's been an exceptionally dry summer for most and Mon/Tue rain was welcome.
  19. Beautiful summer evening. 72/62 I look forward to whatever warmth we get in the next few weeks because I know it’s fleeting after that. Tonight is my Friday night because I’m working an event on Sunday. Relaxing with some West Coast IPAs. I’m sure Kevin will cringe but I get sick of the “Hazy New England” IPA stuff sometimes.
  20. Definitely a cool shot modeled for LDW but lots of warm air lurking across the continent so we'll see.
