    I buy Dean’s Beans organic fair trade or when it’s on sale, Pete’s French Roast or Maj. Dickason’s blend. Always whole bean, always grind fresh before using a metal pour over filter or French press. On rare occasions I’ll break out the 1940s all glass vacuum pot.

    Beautiful day out in the Pioneer Valley. The soil is like powder though . It looks like a dust storm in the distance, where the farmers are plowing the Hadley fields.

    Yeah there has not been a fatal attack in New England since the 19th century. I’ve been lucky enough over the course of my adult life to have experienced many bear encounters. I’ve had multiple experiences coming upon multiple bears. The only time I was really scared was having three cubs march past me. Fortunately they were heading towards Mom not away from.

    Most of SNE should be bone dry by the weekend. It’s good for yardwork and keeping the ticks in check.
