It’s still pretty impressive snow covering Greenfield. Big plow piles everywhere and almost 100% coverage. The 1.5” from this morning did not get complete washed away so at least the piles look prettier than they did. Unfortunately my slushy driveway is going to freeze solid again tonight.
My God, the potholes in Greenfield are beyond description. I’ve now seen two cars getting towed this week due to what must be damage from hitting a hole too hard.
I know, I know. I was pretty surprised that we got accumulating snow overnight. I figured only the hill towns would see any. It was probably close to 1.5” on the cars this morning.
I’m actually thinking it might be good for my mental health to take a break for the summer.
That being said, I think we have a warm summer. I’m not sold on it being full swamp ass humidity tho
Yeah, Northampton was pretty snow bound a week ago. Glacial mounds everywhere.
Today began the melt, but Greenfield is still full on water rich snowpack.
6 straight weeks of an actual winter here, so that’s been fun. Plus some December cold and snow,
I need at least 15 inches to get close to normal though.
I’ll defer to Tip for an answer to this, but I don’t see how we are escaping the compressed fast flow in the atmosphere? It seems like the new regime, at least for now.
I don’t remember the last slow moving region wide juggernaut storm.
