  1. The boy and I drove through the highlands of Shelburne and Colrain this afternoon. this is not too far from MPM‘s old neighborhood.
  2. The 2 inch report out of Keene is lol considering what went on around them. They have got to be in the top 5 New England snow holes.
  3. Picture from Savoy I got from a friend’s FB page.
  4. I can go from 5” imby to close to 30” 5mi as the crow flies. I am actually going to take a drive up into the hills with my kid shortly.
  5. Won’t move snow, won’t move forward or won’t move because the engine won’t start? Those issues become more concerning as you go from former to latter.
  6. It doesn’t matter, the Christmas grinch is capable of stealing any size pack.
  7. If the pattern breaks the right (wrong?) way, we could be setting ourselves up for some epic river flooding in a few weeks. Get a cold, high QPF snow/rainer then freeze followed by a warm, high QPF rainer a week later and the floodgates will open.
  8. It must be killing folks at Berkshire East not to be open today. Their sister Mt Catamount is running at half capacity due to power outages on the NY side.
  9. I’m going C-/D with 42” It’s all relative to what your climo is. I also factor in how cold it was, pond ice, pack retention etc. getting a big dog also would factor into my grade and we did not achieve that at my location for this storm.?
  10. Man, you and I have had neck and neck seasonal averages the past few years.
  11. There must be some heartbroken weenies in Saugerties! I will say this, as disappointed as I was not to do better, it’s nice not dealing with a bunch of snow in my yard or at work today.
  12. There were differences of 15” across sone towns.
  13. Going to take a drive into the hills later this morning and hopefully get sone good photos. The totals around me are astounding. Lots of 25-30” reports within 5-10 miles of Greenfield. Berkshire East still has no power. : (
  14. The marginal nature, of the antecedent air mass we had to work with, is clear in the fact that I have not been below freezing for two days.
  15. It was already a top 1 to 3 storm for some high terrain posters, a cold source would have maybe made it a top 1-3 all time SNE storm across the forum.
  16. East flow often screws us here but not always. It was painful watching downtown Greenfield, at low elevation get 2-3' more than me but I'm sure it was the big hills immediately to my N and W that did the downslope damage. Give me SWFE's please. lol
  17. Anyway, 5" was disappointing especially because it was a slow melt all day with temps around 34F. On the bright side I broke over 40" for the season.
  18. Not sure what positive depth change for here was but I think I would have done a little better than 5" if not for some weird terrain anomaly's around here.
  19. He’ll need to clear at some point. It will freeze tomorrow night.
  20. Yeah, Not sure what happened there? I know exactly where that is and no trees close to it and only 4 or 5 inches of snow fell.
