  1. Dartmouth-Halifax has been the target for days. I have family members there, so if it hits, I hope core is off the coast. Halifax Harbor is most likely getting a surge no matter what. If it come in SW of Halifax it will be ugly.
  2. Have you finished finalizing your storm preparations?
  3. They got crushed last night and had to close down. Very busy up there today. Good 20 minute downpour this afternoon but hopefully tonight stays dry for the demolition derby. Pretty much every major annual, outdoor summer event, that takes place in Western Mass gets soaking rains one out of three years.
  4. Oh good, more heavy rain blossoming right over Greenfield.
  5. I got 2" in 2 hours earlier. That would be good winter snow rates.
  6. Hell of a pitcher in his prime though!
  7. Because records don't go back far enough, we may never know if 1938 New England Hurricane was a once in 1000 year storm. I know there was a great 17th century New England hurricane but different track than 38 based on reports that we have.
  8. You won't see exciting weather with that attitude.
  9. Two nights in a row of probably the two best light shows of the summer. Could’ve done without the biblical rain tonight though.
  10. Those were relatively tame for his hood.
  11. My sister said power has been out since 3pm in Chelmsford, anyone know why?
  12. Some of the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen. The drive from the fairgrounds back to our house is only 5 miles and it took 25 minutes. Street flooding everywhere downtown Greenfield. Including the downpour this afternoon I am over 2.5” for the day! After a brief lol rain is starting up again. The stream down the street from us was raging, I may try and go (safely) check the Green River before it gets dark.
  13. This is awesome, thunder and lightning at the Franklin County fair and nobody is shutting down the rides. What could go wrong?
  14. That would be the worst possible placement for the Halifax-Dartmouth area.
  15. The little cell over Greenfield dropped about a half inch of rain in 15 minutes so that’s fun.
  16. Well, that really fizzled on approach. Nice light show though.
  17. Some good gusts here and a nice light show but that line has lost some of its mojo as it moves northeast.
  18. The only thing Lee is hitting is the Flemish Cap.
  19. The CRV is going to absolutely cook. I think we are going to pull the plug on the Boy Scouts marching in the Franklin County Fair parade on Thursday. 4 mile parade in full uniforms? I’m not taking responsibility for that.
