Still North but a sizable shift south from previous runs. I’m liking the trends of short range models coming more towards the globals.

Yep, just like our last threat. Nam shifted south at the last minute. This is a clear bias in the medium range to over amp systems.

WWBB to Eastern then here, so 20+ years

EDIT: Eastern came from WWBB and AMWX from Eastern. It's been a crazy ride and I can't believe that we've survived all these years. I've made so many friends here that have become family and have had some amazing memories

I also came from the old Eastern forum. We had some good times back then......

Uhm I thought the Midwest and Ohio Valley saw less snow during an El Nino? This looks more like a La Nina clown map

You should be happy that we are building a deep snowpack to our north. You know we have to get their snow in place first. That way we can have a winter storm here. At least, that's what I heard.... lol

Long range is filled with plenty of cold rain opportunities. Cold air is non existent outside of the mountains. Lots of energy but a lack of artic air. No fantasy storms, as we approach the new year. Models show the mountains have the best chance to score going into mid January.

The mountains always have the best chance of scoring. Just relax and don't get caught up in the model run to run changes.

First, good luck to everyone this winter. I’ve been starting to track winter weather here in the Netherlands.

Decided to check in on what was going on in the SE with the pattern change. Next week and beyond looks interesting for sure. The 12z Euro map was a bit crazy. If this ULL can drop a little further south some folks outside of the mountains in NC/SC could get in on the action.  Something to keep an eye on.

Anyone from the Atlanta area? Moving down from LI NY next week. I see colder temps at night down there, then up here. I guess, no warm water to keep the nights a bit warmer?

Well, if you are a winter weather fan, may God have mercy on your soul...... just saying.

This is with the same system that would bring us lots of rainfall but this would be an elevation dependant snow which could put down feet not inches but feet of snow. sn10_acc-imp.us_ma.jpg

This latest run (06z) takes it all away. I don't think we will know for sure what will happen until we get closer. I am pulling for you guys. Let those ski resorts build their bases.
