Does it still show that dreaded warm nose from earlier runs?
It was a flatter colder run with less QPF.

Just like I suspected 33 and rain in Hickory. Sad stuff.
Yep just rain and 32.5 here. Don't worry we will get a good one in February.

Not trolling.
This is not a proper miller b storm. Anybody with enough common sense without a met tag can tell that this setup is not favorable.
We all know that, but don't keep rubbing it in.

Was at friends in Clemmons, drove back home to 27106 NW Winston. Just a little dusting here but more than last two “events”. Sad.
Temps continue to slowly fall down to 32 degrees and now the slush from the snow earlier has frozen.

Winter Storm Warnings are up here , saying 1-3" of snow and up to 0.20" of ZR
What is the warning criteria for snow and freezing rain in you area? Those totals seem a little low for a warning.

Does anyone have a link to the current 2 meter WBZ line? ..... It will be helpful as we go into this tonight.

The 3k NAM has 42 degrees for Durham 18z Wednesday. The GFS has us at 58.
Yeah, I am thinking that the High Resolution NAM might have a better handle on the thermals than the global GFS would at this range. I'd go with the NAM on this one, but that's just me.

It's over. See you next year.
I want to know who hacked eyewall's account? Not like him to cancel winter in January.

There is no such thing as the 18z Euro, it only comes out twice a day 0z and 12z.
Gfs comes out 4 times a day at 0z, 6z, 12z, 18z. Maybe thats what you meant?
I am sorry, but there is an 06z and 18z ECMWF run. However, those runs only go out to 96 hours instead of 240.

Good comments. We all need to understand that model watching/commenting is not meteorology. Meteorology is understanding atmospheric science and having the ability to forecast the weather based on that understanding of science. Meteorology is best left to the Mets. Fortunately, we also have some longterm experienced posters such as yourself that offer great analysis. That’s why I enjoy the board. Therefore, I have no issues with someone posting/commenting on models/maps as long as they offer us a little informed context. On the other hand, just posting comments such as “12z is a dumpster fire” or “the Euro is a boom” bring little to the forum. Now off my soapbox....back to our regularly scheduled programming.
I agree. If you are not being constructive, then you shouldn't post. I learned that lesson way back in the Americanwx and Stormvista days. Good to see some of you guys have been with us for more than 10 years. Now back to the weather.....

My point and click says 1-2 inches and the map says less than 1 inch. Something's not right here.
