18z NAM 3k looks bullish for tonight also for RVA. Around dark looks like biggest risk time no?

Expect WWA’s to be posted late tomorrow in RVA, with an outside chance of a WSW (watch) because of poss freezing rain on top of a couple of inches of snow Wed morning. Today’s model runs will help NWS decide. No matter what, Wed morning commute is going to be rough, until the CAD is eventually scoured out of the region, later that afternoon.

Heavy wet snow here at my job in Mechanicsville. Big giant flakes, maybe the biggest I’ve ever seen.

Could be a nice tracking week leading up to next weekend. GFS and FV3 showing SECS for our region. I’ll be hitting the links on Tue as it will be close to 70° here, and then focus in more on tracking that evening lol.

Like I said earlier, it’s GFS n FV3 against the rest lol. I will say I’ve never known the 3k NAM handle these types of scenarios well. Consistently too warm. Euro was kinda weak also tho. I’m riding the FV3!! Lol #weeniealert

Short term models are very warm so interesting to see how this plays out for tomorrow evening AND what 12z Euro looks like. CMC warm also. Haven’t looked at Fri much. Will do so later on.

Model runs a bit more bullish for Tuesday late, into Wednesday pre dawn. I don’t think a WWA is out of the question especially just north and west of Richmond Proper. And then fairly brutal cold for a few days sets in.

Yeah I got that that’s why i said on another note. I was wondering if flash freeze also meant roads will get slick etc. In general just seems a lot of hyping and memes etc about this storm north of us on FB and Twitter etc and looks more wet than white for many.

Today’s models kinda lost that, maybe it will bounce back. on another note the hype on social media for this weekend storm is off the rails. Midlantic is pretty much shut out I think. I don’t get it.

Heavy snow in Glen Allen. Just took a walk in it. 5 minutes and my entire jacket covered in snow. Greatly annoying in my face. Lol. Everything covered now.

Could be a situation where someone in RVA north and west of 95 gets mostly snow and 2 miles SE all sleet.

And they will! I was at the game in London. Eagles fans took over of course. Probably 70/30 for a Jville “home game”. They had all the bells and whistles as the home team but Eagles fans made it a home game in UK.

Weird as Eagles fans. I kind of want to play Dal for revenge IF we beat Saints, but find myself rooting against them. I don’t like the Rams either lol.
