    Nice moderate snow occurring right now. Temp down to 30.4 Solid 1/2” on the ground. Roads and concrete starting to get slushy. Can slowly see the snow starting to build on the colder concrete patio back of my house.

    Nice little band starting to set up shop on a line from Covington down to Floyd VA. Will be watching this as night goes on. Snow starting to pick back up here.

    Not sure what I was expecting but not overly enthused with the radar at the moment. Should we expect it to fill in decent amount toward sunset?

    HRRR and NAM nest really like the 81 corridor with that band of snow that pivots overhead. Been showing for some time now.

    Lived just north of Waterbury from birth up until 10 years ago. Still have a bunch of family there. Have had some absolute doozies up there. Most memorable one was 38”. It snowed 3-4”/hr for hours on end. Was incredible to see. Missed this sob by one weekend. Was just up for a wedding last weekend. Man what could’ve been.

    I was wondering if you were going to have some type of reaction lol. That was by far the best run of the 3k/12k combined for our state.

    Yea I wholeheartedly agree with this. So many of us want the surface to look what we want it to look like with LP placement/moisture/moisture transport etc.. with there being additional phasing being modeled it will work itself out if it continues that way up until game time. I sense some type of sneaky last minute type setup for some of us. This is a VERY difficult setup to have the models nail down to the tee. A lot of moving pieces.

    GFS out on an island. Almost all 0z guidance has shifted substantially west. This is amazing to witness model wars within 48 hrs.

    Tell you what if it scores a coup here I would be beyond myself. Vastly different look compared to all other guidance. Hell even the damn JMA is tucked AF. So you got Nam/RGEM/JMA (euro to an extent from 18z) vs the GFS with Canadian about to run. And yes I completely realize I just put the Nam RGEM and JMA all in one group

    Probably the worst run it’s produced with the storm LOL! Crazy that 48 hrs out or so you have the hi-res models with a completely different look.

    Damn .. did they finally fix the Euro? Always used to have a very difficult time with those Baja lows, leaving the energy behind. That makes me think it’s onto something potentially
