Where have all the cowboys (I mean clippers) gone?
Great Snow 1717 replied to Hoosier's topic in Lakes/Ohio Valley
One thing that may be playing a role is the lack of cold fronts. Fewer cold fronts lead to fewer clippers. Also the dividing line between cool/cold air and mild/warm air is further north leading to storms developing further north. Often times the "Montreal Express" was introduced by a clipper system. Now that rarely happens. -
Either that or take the December Winter Train to Virginia and North Carolina!

For the most part the models are horrible beyond 3-4 days max. It is why I never believe in a pattern change that is modeled. I always wait for a pattern change to take place. Then I wait to see if the pattern change holds for at least a week. Trusting the models is always going to lead to a lot more disappointment than happiness.. Far too many individuals take them as gospel. It is what led to so many individuals in the SNE subforums being wrong about this winter. The record warmth in November was downplayed but it was a harbinger of things to come. The "heat" in November served as a warning sign but it was ignored and/or downplayed. As was La Nina. People want it to be cold and snowy so they will ignore the obvious that is staring them in the face.

While in college I had a professor/lawyer for a tax law course he always stressed reading the fine print of a contract before signing the contract. And he stressed having a lawyer read the contract. That remains some of the best advice I have ever received. The majority of the American public can barely read and understand a text/tweet..reading comprehension is a lost art...as is taking the time to read.

good for them BUT there are plenty of solar polar customers who had to resort to taking legal action against solar power companies...it is impossible to keep track of all of the lawsuits.
-
Google solar power/panel company lawsuits....
