  1. The bulk likely be counted by then but mail in ballots can arrive on Nov 10th and still be counted.
  2. Agree. His winter outlook has changed somewhat from his earlier thoughts during the summer. Another thing about Cosgrove is he will adjust his forecast accordingly. Some will "drive" their cold & snowy winter forecast off a cliff in an attempt to be right. I prefer someone who adjusts the forecast as needed rather than someone who hangs on to his/her forecast in a desperate attempt to be right.
  3. The cherry on top for the worst year since the WW2 years. ...........
  4. Only for those who are expecting an epic winter.
  5. On the side of the road watching for cars going 1 mile an hour over the speed limit..........
  6. NHDOT's policy for snow and ice removal is "it will melt in the spring"
  7. The last several years the trend has been for any oool/cold period to be soon followed by a well above average temp pattern that lasts for awhile. November likely ends up above avg temp wise and perhaps well above avg.
  8. I'm not a fan of comparing current temps to the averages during the past 30 years. The comparison should be made over the entire data set for a location. Have you read the 2 volume set Early American Wnters?
  9. And you are correct about things looking worse than a few weeks ago.
  10. Depending on the winter there can be a sharp gradient across the area. Haverhill is a very large city, nearly 36 square miles and it is the largest city in Essex county. The central part and NW parts of Haverhill are best for snow. The area closer to North Andover is more prone to mixing and/or changing to plain rain.
  11. The perfect gift for the special Yankee fan on your holiday shopping list.
