-23 or so at HIE this morning. And headed that way again to.orrow morning. Good for ice fishing. I think people got out on the the ice a bit too early this season
I'm interested in how this holiday weekend will play out. It would be nice to get some some synoptic snow for all the vacation weenies. Right now my P&C on my Weather Bug App says snow and rain for Sat and Sat night. It's a 'fun' app
It was snow just before sunrise. We had a nice coating. Temps quickly jumped up to near 40 and every now and then we see some flakes or sleet pellets. Now it's just mirky and cloudy with passing patches of blue sky
Winter weather advisories over on this side of the CT River. Discussion says 3-6 inches. Def elevation dependent and we have lost out on that the last few time. We could get 3-6. Or we could get gloppy white rain.
The temp profile is very marginal here. Every valley on Rt 3 and 302 the pavement is just white and barely any accums. When the roads go back up a hill, the snow starts sticking on pavement and vegetation
Was sitting at 36 degrees with light snow and tiny flakes. At 1pm the heavier echoes moved in. Flake size has dramatically increased along with rated. Temp is down to 34.8. Snowfall rate is now heavy enough that it coating everything.
Crossing my fingers I don't lose power. My BF has left to go hunting for 9 days and I've never started my generator before. My BF is the one who does that. I did ask him to show me last night. Let's hope my brain is reliable if and when it's needed.
I currently have a ton of Robin's, Blue Jay's, red winged black birds, grackels, cowbirds, Juncos, chickadees, purple finches, gold finches, Northern flickers...add in a few wild turkeys, 2 chipmunks, and a red squirrel.
