  1. Wee bit chilly here this morning. Big pops going on with the house. Whitefield airport says -10 . Not looking forward to these next few days. Let's just get through them and get it over with.
  2. I got in my car yesterday morning and said to myself, wow it feels cold this morning. Then I saw the temp was 21. Damn, lol, if 21 feels cold, this has been an easy winter. If the cold shot materializes, I'm going to be cryin for my momma.

  4. I got a jar of gummies a guest left behind at a property. They have cbd, cbn, and something called delta-8. It says 10mg of each per gummie. I took one before bed a few nights ago. Learned that taking a fully gummy was way too strong. I felt like instead of my body being on top of the bed, I sunk through the the mattress. Weird weird weird. Now I cut them in half.
  5. Light snow in Bretton Woods, 28 degrees
  6. Attitash and Cranmore scored big time. And North Conway was 30-32 degrees so the snow has some meat to it! 6 inches in 6 hrs of heavy-ish type snow for NoCo. Congrats to them!
  7. Cranmore and Attitash did well this storm. North Conway was 30 degrees this morning and then hovered at freezing all day. Heavier wet snow. They got 6 inches from 10am-4pm. That's a consistent 1 inch per hr rate, which is sweet! Plus the fact that it was a bit heavier compared to the fluffy snow in Bretton Woods. Winds have picked up here in BW and they were pretty strong coming through the last half of the Notch heading to BW.
  8. Snow may be close to ending in Bretton Woods but Im guessing at least 9 inches. Attitash and Bartlett did very well, and also still going strong in North Conway.

  10. Got a wrong number text earlier this evening. Got a "Hi" and when I didn't respond, I got a "Hiiiiiii" and then a picture of 2 young ladies at a bar. So, I sent back a picture of my 3 guinea pigs with "Hi". She then asked their names and asked for a video of the piggies so I obliged. She said she texted the wrong number, but she liked my piggies and that I was a good human. I responded that if she ever wanted another pic, feel free to text. She and her friend seem like nice humans. It was fun wrong number text.
  11. I deleted my comment because I figured I should put it in the Obs Thread for the storm. We don't have an Obs Thread...lol, well, I've enjoyed watching the game in the snow
  12. WWA for 3-8 inches of snow. The prior two storms have averaged 3-4 inches.
  13. WWA for 3-8 inches of snow The last 2 storms have averaged 3 to 4 inches here.
  14. This definitely has been a challenging winter for the recreation industry. Although, after these 2 small storms we just had- and that the first one had some wet snow and then drizzle that made a good base even if only 4 inches- I did see it was just enough to be able to get the hard core snowmobilers out on the trails. The rental business is still closed up- they have moveable offices- 2 faux log tiny homes/sheds that they place at in the Irving parking lot next to Fabyans. They bring all the sleds out of storage and park them in the shared area between Fabyans and Irving and run the business out of the tiny homes. They are usually all set up and ready to go for Christmas/New Years. This year, they brought the 2 mobile offices over, but have not got the sleds out of storage yet. They are running out of time. After MA Feb Vacation is over, most everyone switches gears and has no interest in snow activities. They have a month left of their rental season and they haven't even opened yet.
  15. Probably around 3 or so here. We would get bursts of good snow intensity and flake size but nothing sustained. It has basically been snizzle for the last few hrs. The snowmobile rental place here in town never bothered to get their sleds out and ready. Still not enough snow for that. Going to take a miracle, but we may have run out of time. I've been watching the chatter on the suspected Feb pattern and consensus seems to be above normal temps and rain. I suppose it could dump in March and April. But the overall pattern just doesn't seem to support that. Should we start speculating about Winter 23/24?
  16. Not much going on up here. I would guess 3 inches or so. We had some good snow this morning- flake size was awesome, but it fizzled out. 3 inches is better than 0, but still need a lot more for the ski area and snow mobile trails. It seems like Cranmore and Atritash did well, so that is good news
  17. Where are you staying? I was at cranmore today checking on something and the skiing looked good
  18. Check out that gradient where Bretton Woods is. I'm guessing we get 4 inches, but Phin's area could get a foot. Attitash area actually didn't do too bad during the other storm. More snow than Bretton Woods. The plow piles along the side of the road just coming out of the Notch and around Attitash are larger than the Bretton Woods piles. This current map has the same gradient on it as the last storm so it makes me believe things will play out in the same manner.
  19. 39 in North Conway, and 32 back at Bretton Woods
  20. I just got snow tires for my car! Yay me, studded as well. Sorry NNE, I may have just chased away the snow.
  21. Got this text from my sister who lives in Manomet, Plymouth: This is the annoying snow. So wet it's almost rain. And super windy. So it hits you in the face like splat! And just sticks there.
  22. The summit of Mammoth Mtn has reported over 441 inches of snow... That is absolutely incredible
