Something is eating them. Up here, something has annihilated trees in Crawford Notch. There are some huge trees that are completely bare, and then other trees that look like what you took a picture of. My first thought was gypsy moth caterpillars but I've seen no tents at all.

Been using my pelletstove the last two days. But I will take the drizzle and cool weather over air quality issues any day

91 in North Conway today. It was toasty

Temp at whitefield Airport was 19 degrees when I checked it around 7am. Lots of frost on the vehicles and grass. I was in Littleton yesterday evening and places like Shaws and Tractor Supply were loading up all the plants on outside display and bringing them in the store. Hopefully no more of this for a few months

Off and on snow showers all morning

I was thinking we should switch to a "Warm Season" threaf once the peepers come out. It's really weird to be listening to peepers as well as ice pellets bouncing off my window AC. Yes, I installed in my bedroom since it's on the 2nd level. Did not install on the main level.

It got to around 33 degrees. We did get some ice on the deck, but it was gone in less than an hour. Crawford Notch was beautiful this morning. All the trees were glazed.

Mid 30s and rain right now. I don't want ice. It is very windy. I wouldn't enjoy losing power.

While knuckle drive from North Conway to Bretton Woods. White out conditions and snow covered roads. I couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of me. Hard to tell when the road curved. Almost drove off the edge a few times. Made it out and about a half mile past the AMC Center, the snow just about disappeared. Maybe a half Inch and only light snow at the center of Bretton Woods. Attitash announced they are staying open one more weekend and will close for the season at the end of Easter Weekend. They look to have had a band right over them. Hope they cashed in. Cranmore is already closed for the season. I was there today and there are already bare patches showing up on the mountain.

4 inches in Bretton Woods, nothing at Attitash or North Conway. My thermometer said 18degrees when I left for work. It's also windy.

Definitely a fail on the 3-5inches, but the wind is howling here

It's probably subsidence...we have the heavy lift going in N MA and S NH. You really can't have an area of lift with out an area of subsidence

Nothing to write home about in Bretton Woods. Alex sent me a text earlier saying we have around 4 inches. Any time precip comes in from the SE we get shadowed. But pretty cool to see how others are just getting annihilated. The good thing about getting shadowed- less worry about power outtages. We are sitting right at that temp that is perfect for snow to stick to everything it comes in contact with. Hope you all are able to enjoy the storm!

Bretton Woods getting shadowed. Anytime precip comes in from the SE- that's basically a no-go for here. Awesome reading through the obs for those who are getting pounded. Wachusett area looks to be getting annihilated. Enjoy it while you can!

Winter Weather Advisory Bretton Woods, Winter Storm Warning North Conway

North Con and Bartlett have done really well. The plow piles in the Notch and the Attitash area are getting pretty high. Hopefully those who couldn't snowmobile in Dec and Jan, can get out at least once in the coming week. The sun is strong now and this will start melting immediately

The radar I use shows the lightning. I came here to see if it was ground truthed and I read the posts that some of you are having thunder snow. FANTASTIC!!!
