  1. 22.7 for the low here, and current temp. B pressure is sky high at 30.70.
  2. Agree. Running a +2.6 for the month here so far. Blazing? No. Will it stay above normal by the end of the month? Maybe. Is it better than the record breaking +10.3 from Dec 2015, absolutely.
  3. So wife and I walked up to the mailbox together about 15 minutes ago (about 300 steps each way). 33 degrees, she put on a coat, scarf, gloves and was freezing before we got back, I slipped on a pair of loafers and went in my short sleeve T-shirt, it felt wonderful lol.
  4. I'll just take P1, P7, P10, P11, P14 or P21, I'm not picky....
  5. Ditto here. I sit at 1300 +- elevation. ALMOST started turning things white once or twice, but rates just weren't enough to overcome the temps (36-37). However, JUST above me (1800-2000 and up) 1-3 inches fell. By the time I was 34-35 degrees precip was moving east.
  6. Low was 20.8 here, currently 21.3/19.5 with crystal clear skies.
  7. Congrats to all that got white. Not sure what happened here, but the snow that fell just never accumulated above barely getting things white. AND it is all gone this am. The mountains JUST above my elevation are stunning though. Not my storm I guess, try again lol.
  8. 'Snowglobing' at Homestead resort, about 1000' higher in elevation than me. Currently 38.8 here and still rain. The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia - Resort Cams
  9. You HAVE a lake to the west, what you need to do is build a 5K tall mountain chain somewhere east of DC. You could even steal the rocks and dirt from the western mountains to double down lol.
  10. Down to 49/48.4 here with rain at 3:55 pm after a 56.6 high about 2 pm, wind W at 3 mph. Beckley WV down to 39 and Lewisburg down to 45 to my west.
  11. Currently 51.9/50.2 and rain here. Hit 'high' for the period around 4 am (57.1) while it was thundering lol. Yesterday never crossed 50, and dropped into low 40's after sunset. NWS started backtracking off the 62 high around 9 am and never caught the actual number. Temps climbed like crazy after midnight.
  12. Proper map, least we know how much for Short Pump...
  13. And already getting light rain this morning, currently 36.8/34.4 at 9:30. Temp rose from 30.9 low around 5 am after clouds filled in.
  14. No, you forgot wind, we do wind exceptionally well around these parts.
  15. Just clouds here at the moment and 35.5/31.1, and only rain fell. BUT looking up the hill it looks like the snowline was about 3K overnight.
  16. Light rain here last two hours, 39.7/33.6.....
  17. Spillover. I love looking at satellite pics in NW flow and seeing the clouds banked up against the mountains, then further east past the crest it is a broken pattern along the ridges. I am in a spot that NW flow gets 'eaten' by the 4500-4800 peaks around 'Shoe because it puts me in their shadow and flurries is all I'll get. BUT, if it is WNW then I'll get off and on snowshowers and usually a small accumulation as long as the flow is that way and the air and is cold enough.
  18. Yep, just be glad you aren't closer to the App peaks. I read once that the western bank of the App's is one of the cloudiest spots in US, averaging around 225 days a year. I know in fall and winter when the winds are anywhere from WNW to NNW it stays cloudy here 95% of the time. THEN a NE to E wind pulls the clouds back in from east and it is cloudy again lol. I have a woodstove in basement, currently 84.3 degrees and humidity of 24% down there lol.
  19. Appears another cloudy to mostly cloudy day is in store again. Currently cloudy and 40.1/29.0. Only dropped to right at freezing overnight, again the clouds held temps up a bit I believe.
  20. Well welcome December! Just like the ones I used to know... lol. 37.4/36.6 and rain is falling at 1 pm.
  21. I went large, and I'm sticking to it. *Collin Raye music playing in the background*
  22. My numbers for the month of November 2023. Averaged high was 55.4 degrees vs a normal of 55.4 degrees, a spot on 0.0 difference. The warmest temp recorded was 73.4 degrees on the 8th. Averaged low was 29.5 degrees vs a normal of 31.0 degrees, -1.5 below average. The coldest temp recorded was 13.3 degrees on the 29th. Overall averaged temp was 42.4 degrees vs a normal of 43.2 degrees, -0.8 degrees below average. Total rainfall for the month was 2.39 inches vs a normal of 2.78 inches, -0.39 below average. There were 7 days with measurable, 4 days with a 'T' and 19 dry days. The wettest day was the 22nd with 1.79 inches falling, or 75% of the entire month's rainfall. There was only a 'T' of snowfall vs a normal of 0.3 inches, -0.3 inches below normal. The greatest snowfall was on 4 days, all with a 'T', the 1st, 2nd, 28th and 29th. The highest wind recorded was 36 mph on the 29th. There were several records for the month. The 1.79 inches of rainfall was a new daily record on the 22nd. New record lows were set on the 2nd and 3rd, and a new record 'cool max' was set on the 2nd. Although a fairly 'average' month on paper, a very cold start and finish to the month with a warm and dry middle.
