October zzzzzzzzzzz's

It's amazing how much different our precip can be for being only 45 miles apart. Especially since there's basically no elevation difference, a nearby Great Lake, or other influences. I've had 5.12" in the past six days and you are super dry.

4.49" on the east side of Huntington since around 10 PM Tuesday evening, 5.11" for the month. I believe that average for FWA for Sept. is only around 3.1".

1.61" overnight. Tropical out there this morning.

Blowtorch

There you are. I was wondering what happened to you.

Picked up 1.31" in 45 minutes from a t-storm as the cool front moved through last evening, taking our month's total to 10.67". The grass is supposed to be brown and dormant around here in late August. This having to mow every five days sucks, but my garden appreciates it.

Shhhh! The administration will want to throw a tariff on it.

I read somewhere that a high amount of Saharan sand can knock down the threat and there was a large amount being transported this year. Does this have any basis in fact?

6.72" here in the past seven days and 8.64" for the month. It looks like there may be multiple windows open nights this week.

5.24" IMBY this week. Thankfully it didn't all fall at once. However, an area south of Muncie to east of Indy saw double digits with bridges washed out, etc.

Was in on a huddle with their WCM during the storms. The justification for the mass tor warnings was based on the reports of 95 MPH gusts upstream, equaling EF-1 speeds.

It has been a storm lover's delight here this morning. Constant thunder and lightning for the past hour and forty-five minutes, with 2.72" during that time and it's still coming down. The northern part of our county got additional storms last evening. I'm guessing that they are well over 4.5" in the past twelve hours.

Cue Spartman's weekend washout post

Just picked up 1.62". My garden said thanks.

IWX obviously isn't bailing due to the south trend, mainly because of their thought that we are still in the game south of 30 with the warm front, as you alluded to earlier. From discussions, I got the idea that they aren't very happy with SPC's demoting us to slight, but of course they won't come out and say it, hence their post.

Wake low?

Got dumped on with .77" in less than half an hour earlier this afternoon. The same line went severe in Ohio.

It's gonna rain.
