Welp looks like 2 tropical systems goes west of us and barely get any rain from them. This doesnt look like anything much happening for here in the triangle area at least. One mediocre line to come through and then thats it. Then it is dry the next 7 days

Unless we get some showers tonite before midnight, August finishes up as: 6.47: MTD 38.71": YTD 99* Highest temp 62*: Lowest temp

It is going to be just ugly hot the next 5 days. Ugh. Hopefully this will be the last of the oppresive heat. I like the map above, Ill take it

Getting a pretty hefty T Storm here in the last 15 mins. Was kind of surprised by it. Picked up 1.24" so far from it.

GSP def has been busy today with the tornado warnings. Its crazy how many in the mtns. From Banner Elk southward. Pretty impressive while I enjoy my .03" lol

We got the senior citizen storm today, Got here around 230pm. Some thunder and a brief rain period. Got .13" 1.95" MTD

Looks thats it for the day, finished with 1.12" RDU had 2.3" such a wide gap in totals between my PWS and the airport. MTD 1.82"

It took forever to get here at 40/540. It was moving so slow in a WNW direction. We had the wind from the outflow boundary for a while and 2 trees snapped in the woods behind my house. Heard them go down while sitting on my porch enjoying the cooler temps. Rain finally got here and it wasnt like it was in Raleigh. It was a mediocre storm here but Ill take it Looks like 1.11" in the gauge and another batch near Apex is moving North up Toll 540 towards here. Man we needed this rain so bad. Grass is turning brown. Got to 99 today and now my current temp is the low for the day at 70* here now.
