Which is a bit of a worry. Out east the NAM did quite well this year. Another model that did decent this year during a few events was the Icon. It has everything farther N up into WY and S Dakota. The cost of my trip might push 1000 and I don’t want to do that without a really really good shot at 3 ft.

Appreciate it. I could grab an uber from the airport to estes for about 100 bucks. Not bad considering I dont really need a rental to drive anywhere else.

Sorry to clog up the thread. Tried PMing you but didn't work. How is the drive from Denver International to Estes Park under normal wx conditions? Will I lose cell service during part of the trip? Just want to plan ahead as best as possible since Estes looks like where I'm headed. Gonna try to leave as early tomorrow as possible

Yeah I plan to stay in hatever hotel/motel I find. I just have to get there before it starts, thats the challenging part. I shouild be able to afford to stay for a few nights wherever i end up. Thanks all. You wont find me on the roads thats for sure lol

Thank you. Now when it comes to elevation vs not being in the complete sticks is there any specific town near there that I should look fo? For example looking at that WRF image above I’m guessing those 40” plus amounts are up in the mountains?

Hey guys looks like I’m flying out there tomorrow. Gonna figure out the complete logistics tonight. Last second decision as always haha. Should be fun. I’ve gotten some recommendations for spots so far (any state)...would appreciate any more. I need to find a place relatively close to an airport. I just chill at a hotel. Gonna need a gas station, rent a car, and WiFi and I’m all set ha

Yep, heavy stuff starts Saturday evening. Plan is to leave late tonight or tomorrow morning. Just at work now when I get home figuring everything out. Should be interesting. I also have a fear of air planes lol. Only been on one my entire life but screw it. Just hoping the light snow falling tonight doesn’t make flight become delayed. That’s what I normally do when I chase. So would need a recommendation/find a hotel in one of these areas. I don’t go out and drive during the event I just sit back and hope my hotel jackpots ha

Thanks, I’m not an expert either just a hobbyist. I’d have to figure this out fast it’s hard because normally I drive to places in northeast for nor’easters. This would be a flight, rental/Uber. I’d have to find a place that isn’t remote though even if I sacrifice some snowfall

Gotta get that follow up wave east as fast as possible. If it meanders in the southwest it’ll torch. If spacing is good and front strong enough it could snow, but need more than a few eps members and a close op gfs run
