    Into the 30's now, 38F with rain. Some cold air drain down the CRV. 38F here and middle 40's in Eastern Connecticut. Cold in the Hudson Valley, below freezing nearly to Newburgh.

    WWA here for 1" of snow and a bit of freezing rain. Currently 37F with fog. Rain today and tonight with 1-2" of rain expected. Full snowcover now, but I think alot will melt.

    I fell on my back on ice during the icestorm of January 1998 at Sugarloaf walking on a sidewalk. Really painful and difficult to ski afterwards.

    I've had 3/4" of ice here in Enfield with no problems whatsoever. Roads get salted as with a snowstorm and life goes on. Driving slowly and cautiously as in a snowstorm.

    I lived in Queens in 1994 and remember that month well. Lots of snow, sleet and freezing rain.

    These cold temperatures remind me of the Blizzard Of 1996. 14F right now and mid and upper teens on Long Island, where I lived in 1996.
