    My understanding is that the nonprofit was not able to come up with enough funds to purchase Saddleback. Supposedly an interested party tryed to buy the area this summer. They wanted a tax break and where not able to get it.

    From what I understand there's no deal to save Saddleback. The deal with the non-profit is dead. There's been no new news on Sugarloaftoday.com regarding Saddleback for the last month.

    0% Gypsy Moth damage here in my part of Enfield. Last year it was very bad around Palmer/Wilbraham and the Mass Pike area. My dad has 3 60 year old + Oaks in the backyard and they seem fine. The one thing we avoided this year was the disgusting amount of sap leaking from them all summer long. Last year that was terrible. 78/58 at BDL, glad we live here.

    With today marking the start of Meteorological Fall, I thought I would start a fall foliage thread. Not much color change here in Enfield, a few scattered tree's are turning in the village green. Hopefully this season is better than last year which was the worst since 2011. I'm contemplating heading up to the NEK in Late September if the weather and foliage cooperate.
