  1. 23.5 for a low and currently 31 DCA already skewed +5 from surrounds so getting prepared for what’s ahead 6-9” for general area and DCA reports 4.75.
  2. My mummy is yummy Sorry. I will behave rest of way.
  3. 26. Nw 19’ wc 12
  4. Central KY later also and then have the primary not get much north of VA/NC line and then move due east right along it.
  5. These coastals mostly don’t help us. It’s going to be really good what happens before, No disappointments!!! Things have been odd very recently so I’m hoping the coastal does kick in for us. At the least it will get quite windy with blowing and maybe drifts so that will be fun also!
  6. 30.5 high at 2:55 now down to 28 0.4-5 still on the board with 85% snow coverage remaining
  7. Once the low gets East of our longitude then it’s snow. As it approaches from our west we have about a 3 hour period of a sleet mix threat. The low moving due east right along the VA/NC border is perfect for all snow . Don’t want it up to Richmond and likely won’t be
  8. Pre positioned the cars to get the sun so the ice and snow just came off semi easily
  9. Talked to my good friend who is no snow and cold fan and he says this overall cold snd stormy pattern will persist thru first week of Feb. Multiple clippers underneath of us reinforcing the cold
  10. I would not worry about coastal snow being s-se of us. In a transfer it’s almost always missing to ne that’s the problem. The overrunning does not look suppressed, The high is building in slowly and does not appear to be a 30.50 suppressive monster
  11. 28.5 at 12 noon so not much rising off my 26 low . Nw sustained 22 and wind chill 15 . Direct sun bump of +7 but winds take that away mostly
  12. From my old fashion eyes the models are reacting to the cold push now ongoing. By late Sunday night there will be no push, it will be settled in
  13. This is the post I referenced from earlier today by a veteran reporting 1” in 10 minutes Thats two now,
  14. My 1983 thundersnow did 1” in12 minutes. Fastest rate ever for me
  15. My few thunders were like muffled weirdly
  16. You are at least the 2nd veteran participant to share those rates!
  17. Getting bitter out there wind chill 16.5 off 29.5F and nw 17 0.8 on board and 100% ground coverage except sunny pavement. Street slush in shaded areas and now frozen.
  18. 10pm 29.5 Nw 17 gust 32 Wind chill 16.5
  19. 0.8 on the board and got the slush off the patio so now I hope the wind will dry the wetness before it freezes
  20. Thunder two of last four days . One rain one snow we are in over performance mode
  21. 31.9 and 0.8 on the board I shop broomed the slate patio so all the slush is off. So now its a race between the wind to evaporate the wetness or the cold to freeze it. Will report back later
  22. That green on radar just north of beltway is still accumulating here. And now the cold rising baro and nw winds that set us up for Sunday night and Monday are moving in
  23. I don’t remember a lot of snow fog like I just had since 2010
