  1. Yea it seems the mid 40s are right on the water at both north and south shores, I am still 34.
  2. Quite a range in temperatures on Long Island. Recording stations on Weatherlink show temperatures at the Long Island Sound stations and the south shore water locations in the low to mid 40s while the middle of the Island has temps in the 20s to mid 30s. Central Park appears to be the only major city from Boston to D.C. that stayed at 40 degrees.
  3. A little milder this morning, earlier low of 32.5 now up to 36. The opposite of the past 2 mornings when it was getting colder until about 7:30.
  4. Just went outside and noticed a high thin cloud cover that is preventing a quicker drop in temps.
  5. OK. I just never saw a forecast predicting that much snow.
  6. Big range in temperatures on these clear, cold nights with no wind. Nearby airports still in the mid 40s, while local stations, such as mine, already dropping into the 30s. Muttontown in northern Nassau, already in the mid 30s.
  7. So what happened, the forecast was for feet of snow and instead they got feet of rain? If so, that would have made some snow lovers pretty upset.
  8. How is this for a snowy forecast: https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/alaskans-brace-for-a-record-12-feet-of-snow-in-two-days
  9. I am not in the frost advisory for tonight but we will probably have plenty. I had frost last night.
  10. Yea I have frost in open areas like car top, roof top and even now on some of the grass. Meanwhile the NWS does not have my area under a frost advisory for tonight but they have one for Newark. I was about 7 degrees colder than Newark this morning.
  11. My car, in an open area, has ice on the roof. My temperature is in the mid 30s. The grass is just wet.
  12. Central Park Weather station gets honor. Maybe some landscaping is also in order. https://nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=202110311046-KOKX-NOUS41-PNSOKX
  13. Never got out of the 50s here today, very little sun.
