  1. My temperature has gone from the 50s to now 62 since the frontal passage. I am also getting stronger wind gusts now, recent 40mph gust.
  2. Now that the front has gone thru my temperature has actually gone up to 60 with more of a land wind. Wind also gustier.
  3. Squall line thru here with little fanfare. Brief heavy rain wind gusting to about 30.
  4. Reached 62 degrees here today, felt good.
  5. 64 my high now 55. It felt good while it lasted.
  6. 70 wouldn't be hard to take. Twice as nice as the 35 degrees I have now.
  7. Yes same here. Fortunately with it raining as hard as it is, the temperature at 31.5 is low enough to cause ice but much of it is running off and not freezing.
  8. Temperautres now in the upper 20s on the north shore and back below freezing here at 31.6
  9. Temperatures are dropping here, now down to 31.7. I noticed north shore temperatures dropping also.
  10. The north shore of the Island in Nassau and western Suffolk is near 30 and the south shore near 36 and I mean right on the shoreline.
  11. Some light precip falling here and the temperature has actually gone down from 32.5 to 32.3, so that cold air still holding firm for now.
  12. I have a coasting of snow and sleet with a coating of ice on the trees. Temperature 32.4.
  13. I checked 8-10 sites out there on weatherlink and all were 33-35 degrees. Maybe your in a cold pocket but most places are well above freezing. As I checked temps further west they got closer to freezing, especially on the north shore.
  14. Temperatures on Long Island starting to creep up near or just above freezing, especially on the east end where it is in the mid 30s. Just across the sound temps are still in the 20s and even low to mid 20s not to far north of the city.
  15. With all the wind events we have had, Long Island has not had a direct hit from a hurricane in almost 40 years. Another thing that seems to not happen as much are good winter cold fronts that come thru with heavy snow squalls. Maybe tomorrow will be an exception.
  16. Squall line heavy rain but not to bad.
  17. 40mph gusts here and that is with a pine tree blocking the wind from the SW.
  18. Yea it looks like the next few weeks are up and down between mild and cold.
  19. After a low of 16 here the temperature is already up to 33.
