To avoid wildfire smoke, we need the southerly flow to win out. No omega or Rex blocks, please. Hopefully, we can get a Bermuda High to establish itself. Been a while since we had a good ol’ fashioned, swampy summer.

I'm finding our climate to be more like PA than Southern VA/NC. Those GL lows impact us with clouds at the tail end of those vort spokes while areas further south end up with sunshine and milder conditions. What gets a little frustrating during the winter is that we miss out on the actual precip more often than not.

Another GL low...another cloudy day following it's passage. Hopefully, partly sunny wins out over mostly cloudy. Can't wait for the southerly flow to return.

Surprised the beer drinkers here haven’t been talking about the Frederick beer festival. Thought about going, but $45 is kinda steep for a bourbon drinker lol. Looks like rain is incoming as well.

Ok, the weather got awesome again.

After a relatively sunny start, clouds have begun exerting their force again (the base state is proving to be too powerful).

This weather sucks, but it does make for a good excuse to be lazy.

Nam shows activity moving through overnight. Maybe we can pick up a few tenths. Cells are popping to the west. Water vapor shows the boundary pretty well.

Gotta enjoy today's weather as it looks like we're back to our base state of cloudy/cool the next few days.

Radar is looking kinda meh. Might have needed more in the way of afternoon sun and a further north vort track.

I mention basketball a lot because...well...I'm a bit of a junkie...but man, this is up there in the top 5 of hoops conditions. 70's, humid, light wind (if any). Just got a few games in and ready to see what happens the next few days weather-wise.

I'm loving the humidity. I really hope we don't have a repeat of last spring/summer. Humidity/storms/warm > Dry/wildfires/cool

Yep, that's why I've been so hyped on this week. This is a gift. Our base state has generally been cloudy, though looks like we might get back into the warm side once the front lifts north again early next week. Hopefully, that leads to partly sunny and better storm chances.

Played a few halfcourt games after work and I’ll admit…it was toasty. I think part of it is just getting used to it. I needed this week..but the cooler weather might feel good this weekend lol
