Currently sitting at .45 inches of rainfall overnight. We needed it. More to come. Finally feels like Fall.

Yeah we had a low of 38 here. Currently 39 with moderate to heavy rainfall all night. A welcomed sight.

After a high of 59 we've dropped sharply down to 46 already. It's downright cold this evening.

The next few days are going to be a come to reality weather. Tomorrow's and Fridays highs are going to be in the low to mid 50s for most. Probably some upper 40s for highs also with some beneficial rainfall on the way.

I'm seeing signs of a pattern breakdown towards the end of the month especially with the AO, NAO, and the PNA. Things look to reshuffle around Thanksgiving. I think...

Was a beautiful Fall day. Had a high of 57 with a current temp of 53. Gorgeous.

Had a decent amount of rainfall here today. We ended up getting .35 inches out of the nice rain that came through.

I have to say if it's not been stated but the models did one hell of a job at a long lead time also. The globals basically nailed this a week out. That's really when Cantons Mayor Zeb Smathers started preparing for the storm.

I do to but we are marching everyday towards colder and colder weather. No way of getting around that. From what I can gether there has been a huge outpouring in communities to get people winter gear and blankets for people.

We've got pics in our mountain thread in the SE forum. Anywhere from about 4 inches on Mount Le Conte to about 3 inches from a poster in Wolf Laurel right on the border of TN/NC to a heavy dusting around 4k feet.

Yeah get this at the end of the month and I'd say even some towns like Maggie and Canton here see snow. A nice event though for the 15th and 16th of October.

Seems like the snow line here on Haywood is about 4k plus.. I had snow but it is just too early on in the season. Nice to see the peaks coated in mid October.
