A lot of variability in the models but looks like we could see a substantial trough and cold push come through in about a week. We will see.
-
We got cooler but the trough out west will not reach us primarily because the NAO is not going to go negative. For this time of the year though this is not uncommon. The wavelengths will start to change and we will start to see some more movement in the upper levels this month.

As another cool morning with a low of 47. Beautiful weather!
-
Woo! First mid 40s of the season! Had a low of 45 degrees.
-
Temp down to 58 degrees already. 50? Shoot we may hit our first 40s of the season.
-
What a beautiful late afternoon! Temp down to 65 already!
-
Yes I think so. Maybe right around 50.
-
A nice cool morning with a low of 55 degrees. Feels a bit like fall this morning.
-
Today actually turned out beautiful. A bit warm but oh well. I had the same showers this morning.
-
Yeah the models are jumping around a bit and currently there are a few differences between the GFS and the EURO. Go figure.
-
Looks like our cool down will be muted and delayed. Pretty typical though for this time of the year.
-
Ok fellas lets see if this season can be any better than the last few! Currently there are signs we may actually see some fall weather in September. Best of luck to all and hopefully we will all have a snow cold winter!

Congratulations Mack!

Happy Thanksgiving to the best region on here!
-
Nice man. Good to see you posting with this event coming up.
-
You should be in a prime spot for this one. Actually I think most of the mountains could get a foot plus.

I'm not saying it's too cold to snow. All im saying is we live in the SE. Historically in some of our coldest months ever they have been some of our least snowiest months around here. It is a well known fact that a lot of the big snowstorms we see around here we get with temps right around 30 degrees. Yes i have seen it snow around 0 degree but we did not get a foot of snow from that. Having such cold high pressure systems bearing down on the region is hurting our chances for snow as we have already seen with basically two systems disappearing.

Lol! Also the truth hurts feelings too.
-
Lol she deleted one of my post telling Grit that the trends on the models where getting worse. I could care less. The too cold too snow and people trying to talk themselves into believing it will snow in there backyard are funny. Its like every new update is the same thing. Trough is sharper it looks better through about hour 54, Mack comes in BOOM we are going to have a great run then it just takes a nose dive!
-
Why would it with massive high pressure building in. Have you not seen the extreme cold coming in?

Yeah if we get what looks to be coming then a lot of people will be caught off guard. The roads could be a disaster. -

Actually with the way things have trended we are left high and dry. No moisture around. -

No kidding! I was looking at the snow all the way into Mexico and along the Gulf coast in Louisiana, Alabama, and parts of the Panhandle. Shoot even New Orleans kind of got in on that run. Pretty crazy how the trough is oriented then the moisture comes in deep. -
