Yeah Thunderstorms are going to be roaring back to life in the mountains starting tomorrow through the weekend.

85 this morning in Concord

Truck temp says it's 98 in Concord at the moment.

Asheville airports normal is 84 and 63 currently. We will only be about 5 degrees above normal this week and we will be hitting right at normal for lows. Actually my current temp is 59.

Looks like this heat wave will be short lived. Better chances of storms by Thursday and temps cooling back down to the lower 80s by the weekend. Typical summer weather.

Today being the summer solstice marks the longest day of the year but also marching us towards Fall every single day. Also our days will be getting shorter so summer can suck it...

I saw your post in the obs thread. Ywah this has been one wet spring. Especially this late in the season.

If your tired of the rain then buckle up because it looks like we are going to enter another very unsettled several days starting tomorrow evening through the weekend.

A stellar morning this morning. Clear with a low of 49 degrees on June 11th. Cannot beat that for this time of the year. Yesterday had a high of 73.

Temp down to already cold 48 degrees already. Freaking love it!

Just got home and the wind is blowing 90 out of the north and the temps dropped down to 53. Saw that it's 45 degrees on Mt Mitchell this evening. Absolutely raw. Love it!

Heavy rain and storms moving through again this evening. Temps have dropped from mid 60s to mid 50s now.

I honestly can't remember when we've had several days here in May with highs only in the 50s. This weather has been fantastic.

Looks like more rain today and some severe weather possible tomorrow with another strong front. Pretty rare for basically the first of June.

Had a high of only 56 degrees today! Incredible.

Temp down to 55 already. Tomorrow is going to be dang cold for the end of May. Rain from here on out.
