    First sub 70° reading of month here at 68°...With dp's near 60° really feels comfortable.

    Heavier rains again stayed to my west this am...0.14" here.

    First 3 days of Aug saw high temps of 90,91 and 87°...Heavier rains stayed to my west with 0.53" total.

    Only made it down to 75° here this am after hitting 90° yesterday.

    Other stations finished with much lower departures than LGA...Departure here was just +0.6° similar to NYC, EWR, JFK. A humid month for sure but not that hot. Also had 8.45" of rain.

    I'm 58 years old and have had various weather equipment at my homes since around 10 years old...don't know what got me started...no one in my family was into it. One of the earliest events I can remember was tropical storm Doria in 1971 and the flooding on the side of our house.

    Added another 90° day here yesterday, and 89 on Thursday.

    Been a very wet year here...36.65" precip, nearly 10" above normal to date.
