    58° this am...been a pleasant first 3rd of the month, with a -5° temp departure here.

    This rather up and down dry pattern started abruptly last September.... My station is over 10" below normal precip since then .

    Observation thread.... 76° high with a pretty solid overcast today.

    Went from 58° this am to 90° this afternoon.

    July at my station finished with a mean temp of 79.9° , 3rd warmest behind 80.5 in 1999 and 80.3 in 2010.

    Did sneak in a 90° reading before the deluge... that gives me 15, 90° days for the month... record is 20 days in 2010.

    Si West shore station 0.52" , here in castleton corners deluge with 1.75".

    Gusted to 35, just 0.15" at my gage on the west shore but 0.50" a couple miles east.

    No measurable rain here for 10 days, but that was after a 2.91" deluge on day 11.

    My station currently running a 79.3° mean for the month....warmest month ever recorded in 47 years is 80.5° set back in 1999.

    78 high here today with onshore wind.

    92 high today on si with no rain.

    First low below 70° here in 13 days with a 68° reading...some clouds moved in after 3 am popping temp back up to 70.

    Made it to 93° today...currently 91/73.
