18z Euro was about to lay the hammer down. (Only goes out or hr 90) it was slightly colder too, prob gonna be another foot + run for WNC!
Definitely a weenie run! Hopefully we are losing that primary into Tennessee. That would cut down our totals

Anyone have the 18z euro?

Yeah, that's what we need, further south and east.
Honestly I don't think the low being farther south before it gets east of the apps helps your are too much. Infact one could argue it would lead to an even worse outcome with the low pulling farther inland as it heads north through NC

I can’t even remember the last watch they’ve issued, don’t think I’ve seen one in the 3 winters I’ve lived up here.
Seems as if they like to play catchup. Honestly with technology and so much information at our fingertips, the usefulness of the nws is waning. Honestly, anything dealing with the government is so archaic at this point. Like living back in the 80's

GSP with really not much to say..said they favored the ECWF more... then my forecast in Graham County came out with mostly rain..very confusing sometimes
Translation....models are in fairly good agreement for a winter storm, especially for the mtns. We're gonna watch it and punt to the next shift. Don't want to look bad putting out a watch 72 hours in advance.

Always the case when maximizing frozen qpf

Perfect phasing as it gets to the SC coast to pull it due north through NC and Central VA! The WAA thump on the front end is beautiful. 2" per hour rates almost.

Franklin to Toxaway corridor is gonna jackpot with the favorded area in the border counties having to play catch-up with backside NWFS to get close to their totals IMO
I was just looking at the low bombing in Central PA! Should be some good upslope for the border counties

No kidding!
If the euro is correct I wouldn't be surprised to see 18" totals around highlands cashiers

The elusive 95 runner is coming out of retirement. It's like chasing a unicorn!

looks all frozen down this way with a big thump of all snow before the take over.
It gets close. Maybe some sleet but it's better than the gfs.

Crushed! 12" running from the north ga mtns into Southern mtns, and the upstate mtns

We should stay all snow in the mtns (barely) but it has a major ice storm for the upstate

@81 it's in about the same spot and slightly weaker
Definitely weaker than the gfs with lower heights over the SE

Cmc dropping up to 2" qpf for the southern mtns
