  2. Yeah this is a neat event. I was at the inner harbor yesterday and water was coming up over the edges in several places. I heard fell's point had minor flooding. I am trying to figure out what the physics is behind this.. I guess it just has to do with the elliptical orbit of the moon passing close coinciding with the equinox..
  3. haha.. drunks throwing axes.. always ,looking to this event in anticipation of someone getting an axe in the forehead!
  4. Holy sh%t did anyone see the look on the face of Rudolph what Earl Thomas knocked him out? Aikman would have went back in to the game.. things just arent the same anymore..
  5. I think it is a congrats.. for me any extreme event peaks my interest.. thats why I am here.
  6. Am I reading this right? BWI 98. If so that broke the all time record for October.
  7. The last GFS looked to be a fairly major rain/ flooding event. Looks to be over 3 inches of rain in a twelve hour period.. obviously there could be significantly higher totals where training sets up. This stuff is on my radar these days seeing as though I live in the Patapsco River valley...
  8. Can't even manage some severe with a frontal passage. Red Flag warnings surely will be hoisted.

  10. And I am gonna hit up oregon ridge monday morning at 8:00 AM for sleigh riding with my kids!!! Thats in the same general area as mappy... I am thinking they should hit pay dirt.
  11. I live a quarter mile from 70 but also a couple miles outside Baltimore City. I usually get caught in the screw zone for these type of events .. every once in a while my little but of elevation works in my favor. 5 inches is my benchmark.
  12. Yeah and that will keep the snow from sticking to the roads and will cause schools to be 2 hours late instead of off for Monday.
  13. they should have just said "thread the needle"..
  14. I hope. I am in Baltimore County so a slight south trend puts me the in bullseye. Seems like a legit wave.
  15. No it doesn't. It is giving me 4 inches tonight and another five on Sunday and the storm ain't even done at that point.
  16. Well now that we are getting this Rainer out of the way, the models will have less interference and it will definitely be colder and more snowier
  17. Every meso has 6-8 hours or snow before the change over.. that's up here in Baltimore.. I would think maybe 4 more hours for you. Enough to lay down 4-6 imho
  18. Now just flurries.. but I am glad I get to see some flakes!
  19. I am in nyc right now for work. Long night last nigh. Woke up to moderate snow.. as soon as I saw it I just knew that we were gonna over perform!!
  20. LWX talked about the potential for this this morning: " slightly negative EPV and Frontogenetical forcing that lines up, suggesting that CSI banding is possible"
