  1. I talk about this in group therapy last night... I put it all out there.. that I thought I was going nuts.. that I felt like I was the only person in the world who thought the way I did.. they set me up with an appointment with a nurse practitioner to put me in Suboxone and maybe adjust the mood stabilizer.. so we will see what happens.. in the mean time.. I need to focus on work.. I two full time jobs and one part time job and I am falling behind on all of them! BTW.. I was watching on youtube last night and the hospitals are like ghost towns in NYC.. I would link you but youtube took down the video.
  2. There is two very problematic approaches when it comes to the numbers that we see.. #1 is that we do not have consistency in methodology. Anitbody testing is non existent in the US.. and this is what we really need in order to determine who has been exposed to the virus so that we know the actual mortality rates. #2 is that we need to be able to determine if Corona Virus is the cause of death vs Corona virus is present at the time of death.
  3. I am not being facetious at all.. people need to get sick to fight this virus.. it is the only way. The virus will stop spreading when people build up the necessary immunities. And this happens in schools. Shutting down schools was probably the worst thing we could have done. This is informational warfare at its finest.. checkout china for instance.. they instituted social distancing at the end of January and then about 6 weeks later they reported no new cases. How can anyone with half a brain believe that this is true? Thats not how this works!!! If we are only trying to "flatten" the curve.. how is it that china how some how miraculously made the curve go away? they didnt. They either ran out of test or (more likely) stop testing or (most likely) stopped reporting new cases and deaths. They want you to believe that social distancing is the answer so that while world shuts down, they ramp up production of the vital products the rest of the world needs... they artificially are driving the stock market and world supply and demand.
  4. Jerry Falwell seems to be the only one with any sense in this situation
  5. haha!! the no car thing was just my response for the police if I get stopped walking to the grocery store.. but I just checked.. you can leave your house for exercise.. so no need for that one
  6. We can go out for exercise and walk our dogs.. we can go out for food! I really dont see what has changed?
  7. Also I am in dire need of toilet paper so I will be driving around to look for toilet paper this tomorrow.
  8. good news is that I dont own a car so I get to walk to the grocery store any time I want!
  9. Well.. I had thought that Dr. Birx was going to bring some sanity to the situation based on some of her previous pressers.. but looking at her most recent comments.. she is drinking the cool aid too.. China has pulled off the first successful worldwide assault of informational warfare in the history of mankind. this will be studied in international relation courses for centuries to come. The rules of the game just changed...
  10. I am just trying to make the point that there people were getting sick way way way before this became a media sensation and social media shaming platform. And given when we know about how fast this thing spreads... I have no doubt that people were dying in America before anyone even knew this was going on.. The season variation in flu deaths (in the united states alone) can be any where from 3,000 a week to 10,000 a week... in china I am sure you can quadruple those numbers. So if a couple hundred people are dying everyday in city Wuhan from Corona Virus.. no one would even bat an eye brow...
  11. People were dying in US and were sick as far back as Decmber
  12. The thing about Pandemics is that once you know it is happening.. it is basically too late to do anything. People are contagious before they are sick..
  13. The fact the they allow fighting in NHL but not in NFL is implicit bias.
  14. Another very large factor that will further increase the inequality is the fact that anyone that has money to burn right now is dumping it in to stocks that have taken a dive (but will presumedly rebound). Make no mistake about the tax date being pushed back.. that was clearly a message to the rich to invest... Think about it.. who typically owes taxes at the end of the year? Usually high wage earners with complex tax situation. 1099'rs.. (I am one of those).. Once the economy rebounds... people are going to reap the rewards by doubling down.
  15. you get $600 more per week than what you would normally get due to Stimulus!
  16. I am going to keep my comment on the economic side because I do not want to open up the political discussion.. The stimulus is not about helping people, it is about stabilizing markets. That said, this is a fiduciary measure to inject money in to the economy. It is simply a measure to get money out of the treasury and in to circulation. 1200 per person is the largest single fiduciary act in the history of the world... Whenever they do this.. they have to be careful not to inject too much because the result will be inflation. The government really doesnt "run out" of money. The reality is that they can simply print more (or add a zero). The controlling factor is prices.
  17. I havent gotten banned this year yet...
  18. Stocks rebounded nicely today.. this will be shortlived once everyone defaults and unemployment insurance payouts kick in. People dont realize that when the money runs out.. it actually just runs out..

  21. What I mean is that typically you would want the virus make its way through the population in order for people to build up the needed immunities. Since we have prevented that natural process, I would expect that as soon as social distancing is done, the virus spread of the virus will once again accelerate.
  22. What happens if we slow down the spread of the virus (which I am giving social distancing at least some chance in accomplishing) and then open everything back to work and school? I am no expert.. but dont these things need to like run their course? I would expect every just gets sick.. like we are supposed to?
