  1. On the western edge of tomorrow's setup here. Hoping we can cash in on a decent rainer as we still desperately need the moisture.
  2. 94 at MLI today, 90 here. After mid 90s tomorrow and Wed gonna get a nice long break from the heat from Thu onward. Not gonna be quite as frosty as it has been at ALEK's though lol
  3. Picked up 0.20" early this morning, bringing us up to 1.47" since Thursday.
  4. I've seen the Mothman Prophecies too many times to get on a bridge looking like that lol
  5. Corn crop has really shot up here over the past week or so after the 2 rain events. Bring on the 80 degree dews lol.
  6. After the Aug 10 2020 Derecho we were without power from Monday afternoon until Friday morning. Definitely gives you an appreciation for electricity, which most of us take for granted. Feel for you guys down south, hope things get up and running sooner than anticipated.
  7. Great soaker today with the northern edge of the deep convection passing through. Picked up 1.17", which bumped us up to a bit over 2" for June.
  8. Big props to that model. It's been advertising this for days. Blowing the HRRR/NEST out of the water the past few years to be sure.
  9. Not sure if Broyles issued a crappy day 3 outlook early this morning, as a new updated day 3 has been issued earlier this afternoon to replace his original day 3.
  10. Some decaying Iowa sloppy seconds moving in early this morning with some incoming anvil sprinkles. Concerned tomorrow's activity may fire up just east of here.
  11. The good news is if u wanted to quit smoking this will still get u a little fix.
  12. Feel like I'm living in LA during the 70s
  13. Noticed the little mini sup passing to the northeast had some decent rotation so shot out east after it. Saw a nice funnel cloud near Tampico which lasted a good 3-4 mins.
  14. Nice deep blue sky out there today which is great to see after all that smoke. Last night's 0.66" brought us to 0.84" for June. Rain chances going forward are pretty meager, so doubt we'll break the 1" mark for June.
  15. 0.65" here. The way radar was looking I figured we were a shoe-in for an inch, but the heaviest downpours veered south. Could have been worse I guess.
  16. Not overly impressed with the rainfall, but this batch of storms is putting out an unbelievable amount of CGs.
  17. Hottest day of the year so far here with 97, 95 at MLI. Luckily dews mostly around 60.
  18. 55-60mph winds around MSP in the past hour due to wake low I guess.
  19. Great timing for the DVN radar to crap the bed, 1st real rain chance in 40 days. Been out over 2hrs now.
  20. Our hopes for anything here will come down to how the Iowa stuff evolves later today/this evening. If it craps the bed before reaching here it looks like it could be another nothingburger here, as tomorrow everything redevelops off to the east.
  21. Dews have mixed down below 45 in MLI with yet another 90+ day in the bag. Insanely low dews for late June.
  22. Just need to fill in those mini screw zones over western IL and we're golden.
  23. I loved the drought/heat of 1988 as a kid. Went swimming about every day.
  24. Yeah that's normally not so good of a map but compared to the past 40 it's lookin' swampy.
