    Snow departures are going to be growing larger over the next 3 weeks. MLI down over 9", Dubuque now down over 10". Should both be 15+" down by the time an appreciable snow system arrives.

    Yeah looking pretty dull for next 10+ days. Hopefully something decent to track again later this month or by Feb.

    Looking like a complete shutout for DVN/LOT except for maybe the far southern tiers. Hopefully Chicago can at least score some consolation lake effect.

    Nice daytime event today with 1.3", bringing season to 3.2". Was a nice gently falling snow globe event with nice dendrites.

    MLI/DVN finish December with the seasonal snowfall totals at 1.3"/1.2". MLI is now down 9.9" from average snowfall. Seasonal total here is 1.9". Should get 0.5-1" of snow with tomorrow's wave.

    The little wave on Thu may deliver a good inch for the QC, maybe a little less here. Better than nothing I guess lol.

    Nice little soaker overnight with 0.52". Most guidance had heaviest south of here so nice overachiever.

    Looks like 0.1-0.3" of cold rain for the QCA.

    Yeah this is a waste of a perfect setup for Champaign up through southern LM. Would've been a crusher for that narrow swath.

    Picked up 0.50" of rain yesterday. The most significant precip event of the month.

    The Jan 5/6 system is the only thing that looks interesting for out this way. Several models show it, so hopefully it's a good sign it will actually exist as we get closer.

    Heavy overcast with periods of dense fog and drizzle throughout the day. Dews in the mid 40s so feels almost balmy out there lol.

    45 here today, MLI hit 48. MLI now 7.3" of snow below average. Should hit double digits in another week or so.

    The boxing day rainer has bumped closer and will now be a Christmas rainer. Would be pretty sweet if we could have mustered up some thunder, but it looks like a sprinkly/very light rain affair.
