  1. Everything went around here yesterday and this morning. Glad we got that good soaking last week.
  2. As expected the Iowa convection is crapping out as it nears the MS river. Should get a little anvil rain to reinvigorate the crab grass.
  3. Ominous looking clouds have been lurking overhead all day, but they're all show and no go. May get a brief shower later this evening after the fireworks.
  4. So far for 2024 MLI has 12 90 degree days, 11 days here. Don't think we'll be adding to that any time soon.
  5. Nice steady soaker this evening with occasional rumbles of thunder. 0.73" so far. EDIT: Finished with 1.16"
  6. Short term guidance was spot on, as the severe warned band of storms is rapidly crapping the bed right at the MS river.
  7. Dews have shot up from the 50s this morning to the lower 70s currently. Right on the eastern edge of the severe threat. Not really expecting severe but hoping for a decent downpour before the storms crap the bed.
  8. Looks like the next event here will be some decaying Iowa sloppy seconds Tuesday night.
  9. Yesterday's high of 71 here occurred just before midnight, as most of the day was spent in the upper 60s.
  10. Nice slow/steady soaker today for a total of 0.78", and up to 3.65" for June.
  11. Got 0.30" here between early morning stuff and tonights anvil rains. Up to 2.87 for June
  12. Dews made it into the upper 70s for the first time this year here.
  13. Solid area of low 80 degree dews just west of I-35 in IA this afternoon. MLI 89'd so far, but may have hit 90 after climo report came out.
  14. Looking pretty juicy. Flash drought cancel. Our streak of 90 degree days has ended at 7, as today will stay in the 80s. Have a few more 90+ days for tomorrow and Tuesday, but after that it looks like all 80s into early July.
  15. 4-6" of rain across the far north Chicago suburbs this evening, with a nice heavy soaker for much of the rest of northern IL/Chicagoland. So nice to see a widespread soaker after all of these piddly hit and miss "air-mass" storms the past week.
  16. Best downpour of the summer for sure, with over 1 inch in 20 minutes. The area gardens rejoice.
  17. 7th day in a row of 90 or above. Hoping for a good downpour later this evening.
  18. Not in our sub but just south of Sioux Falls SD there's 2 reports where over 17" of rain fell the past 3 days. Extreme northwest corner of IA picked up close to a foot of rain.
  19. I could smell the rain from a tiny cell that passed a few miles south a little while ago. Top 3 event the past 3 weeks.
  20. A shower earlier this eve deposited another 0.07". Up to 0.08" for the day.
  21. Picked up 0.01" from a withering orphan anvil earlier. Managed another 90+ day both here and at MLI.
  22. Not too bad at 1.43". Most of that was on the 4th so with the heat and lack of rain since it's starting to brown up a little but not too bad yet.
