    Some beefier returns have moved in over the past hour and has resulted in a good dusting. No problem sticking on paved surfaces with the temp at 30.

    So far the snow is so light it's not accumulating, but just nw there's a more enhanced band that may be adding up a bit for those peeps.

    Sticking with 2-4" for the QCA. Looks like the window for the best rates will come later Friday into Friday evening.

    Here the precip will start about 9hrs after it started there, and at night of course lol. I'm sure during the course of this 60hr precip window some of the snow will fall during the day.

    Think I'll go 2-4" for this area for a first guess. More might actually fall but doubt it will physically add up to much more than that. Could be a situation where MLI reports a grand total of like 5.5", but to the public it will seem more like 3", etc. Kind of a lame system in that regard.

    Kind of looking like a long-duration pixie dust fest, with drizzle outside of heavier radar returns kind of system. Prob 1-3 type of an event at best.

    First subzero reading of the season this morning here at -2. Getting a few flurries now and again.

    Euro throwing you a bone with a nice snowstorm. GFS says It's an ALEK special.

    Getting 45mph gusts with the strong CAA. Temp has dropped almost 20 degrees since this morning, back down to 15. Snow has compacted a bit, down to about 4", with a nice crusty top layer.

    This feels like an Arkansas winter. Hopefully that means we'll get a late Jan/February tornado outbreak to top it off.

    Our massive 1" snowpack took a hit overnight as temps ascended into the mid 30s. Now just some white patches scattered about the brown landscape.

    Had about a 2 minute period of flurries here around 8pm.

    Hopefully we can get a system to track sometime soon that has a snow band that's wider than 50 miles. This sub desperately needs a share the wealth system.

    Almost 60 today as it hit 58 at MLI. Without technology an icestorm would not be something you'd expect in 24-30hrs.

    Very nice. That would have made for a nice time lapse with the big city lights lighting up the snow squall rolling in.

    These positive tilted/southern stream dominant systems always underperform with cold sector precip. Cold sector precip is narrow/fleeting where it occurs. Without a northern stream component to phase with this will be a non-event except for maybe a 25 mile wide area that gets a quick 2-3" of slop.
