    They took away our slight risk for tomorrow, now it’s just marginal. Hopefully we can still find a way to get a decent storm.

    I doubt that. There is no morning convection whatsoever in the high risk zone. The atmosphere is about to be fully primed for a very large outbreak.

    I got up at 3 am to pee and I went outside to check out the eclipse. Pretty cool, I kind of expected it to be brighter though.

    Forget backdoor cold front hell. Today is actually great. Sure it’s not upper 60s like Monday and Tuesday but 55 and sunny with not much wind is always a good day in my book. And to think the NAM had highs in the low 40s 2 days ago…

    Really nice day today despite the cold front moving through. Tomorrow looks like backdoor cold front hell then we get 2 really nice days before the rain comes on Sunday.

    This coming week looks incredible. 50s and 60s every day, aside from maybe Thursday when models are hinting at a backdoor cold front. Then hopefully a nice soaking rain on Sun-Mon. It’s been awhile since we’ve been able to enjoy an entire week like this!

    Saw some flakes flying earlier. Some of the mesos suggest we could see more tomorrow night if confluence doesn't shred our little disturbance.

    6z GFS gets us into the 70s next Friday.

    18z GFS doubles down. MECS for the LV/Poconos with warning level snow down to I-95. No support whatsoever from any other model.

    Seeing what looks like the beginning of a wildfire between Hopewell and Pennington, NJ. Hopefully they can contain it quickly before it spreads too much.

    Currently in Princeton for work, close to the university. It is ridiculously windy there right now. One gust actually affected my walking to the point where I stumbled a little bit.

    Super boring pattern setting up for the next 1-2 weeks. I'm not ready to write this winter off just yet though. I think we get a storm or two to track in March.

    Starting to snow in Allentown. Not expecting much today, maybe an inch at most.

    I think that was the SWFE with the rogue death band in mid February. Most of eastern PA got 2-4” except for a 10-20 mile wide band of 8-12” near I-78. Pretty wild mesoscale event, not sure we’ll see anything like that again anytime soon.

    Mesos are starting to pick up on a norlun feature as the ULL swings through on Thursday. We had one of these about a month ago and it gave us a little over an inch. Wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar with this one.

    The attachment I posted on this thread loaded fine at first. 20 minutes ago when I checked I just saw the top part of the image. Now it’s loading perfectly again. It’s likely going to keep going back and forth with how well it loads. It’s doing this on both wifi and data.

    Somehow I still have a little bit of snow left from the 1/20 storm. It never fully went away since it’s been cold and our snowpack has kept getting replenished by small events.

    What storm is this? I want to say 2/9/10? I remember that one being in the middle of the week and dumping lots of snow on everyone.

    This has been going on for months and it happens seemingly at random. Some attachments will load fully while others only load partially like this. Refreshing the page doesn’t solve the issue either. Is anyone else having this problem?

    All the other 12z mesos (including the 3km NAM) say the NAM is full of it. As much as I want this thing to come back I can’t trust a model that has done so poorly all winter.
