Heavy rain and loads of lightning strikes with this cell down in Brick.

Down in Brick right now. Constant rumbling from those severe storms off to my west, but it doesn't look like they'll hit here unless they expand or drift east.

Storm popped up right over me. Heavy rain and some lightning. Sounds like a few small hail stones mixed in too.

Wild storm here in New Providence. Constant lightning, torrential rain and strong winds. Saw the winds shift direction at one point.

Had a nice downpour about an hour ago. Another cell popped up over my area, but it looks like only the north side of town is getting rain right now.

Hearing cicadas for the first time this summer.

My town cancelled their fireworks tonight. Now we'll see if that was the right call.

Was out cycling and saw the Morris county storm to my west. Checked the radar 20 minutes later, and it's coming east. I needed to go west to get home lol. Managed to beat it, but barely. Here's a photo I took in Chatham when I first noticed it.

Pretty good storm down here, though not as wild as I was expecting from the radar presentation. Winds looked around 45mph or so with torrential rain. No hail luckily. Currently getting intermittent CG strikes on the back end.

Haha, I'm still in Brick. Was going to leave around now, but I think I'll stay for the storm.

Shelf cloud from the storm in Brick. Got some dime to penny sized hail for a few minutes in-between the torrential downpours.

Smoke getting denser here in NW Union county. I can't see the hills across from me anymore which are about a mile and half away.

Looks like there's a couple people in the water at the end.

This video made it to Reddit and someone commented that their brother, girlfriend, and two dogs were in that red house/business during the storm. You can actually see someone open the door near the beginning of the video. Apparently they all survived, but were swept out and clung to palm trees. Here's the post.
