  1. Jesus, Hurricane Andrew level strength right at Acapulco. I cannot imagine what the damage is there
  2. Eh late October and early November have had some prolific events
  3. I’d argue as well that the general public cares more about actual accumulation than whether or not there is a warning
  4. I think also many of our perceptions are skewed on what a true winter should be because of how many heavy snow winters we’ve had this century. Toledo’s had the 1st, 3rd and 5th snowiest January’s; 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th snowiest February’s. While we’ve only had a few bitterly cold winters, it all comes down to an active pattern in those two months
  5. Definitely prototypical Fall weather. Have to wonder if there’ll be a bounce back towards Halloween with above average temps
  6. Impressive after essentially running AC from late April thru September how hard this flipped to Fall
  7. Exactly my thoughts! The spin and inflow are pretty legit on this thing. We have a large plant in Midlothian so definitely watching with curiosity
  8. Looks like two days left in summer this year. That front on Thursday means business. Impressive with as short as our days are that we’re getting these kinds of temps. The temperature feels as though it’s changing at all times in this pattern
  9. The Maumee River by my house is still incredibly low. The overcast, somewhat rainy weather of the last few days has helped some but it still is hardly kayakable
  10. Really looks impressively organized on radar. Came so close to being a hurricane
  11. That cell west of OKC is wild. Moving in a completely different direction
  12. Meanwhile the Maumee River by my house is almost dry. Probably only a foot deep in the middle at the moment
  13. Definitely some worries for Bermuda here. The consistent active pattern in the CONUS has acted as a pretty good "block" for us here thankfully
  14. Looks like it’s been a rough day for my old stomping grounds
  15. Looks like a tornado and some serious wind in Cleveland proper last night. Also I'm curious to see storm ratings from that tornado in Michigan, it was quite violent for about 10 minutes there
  16. That big ole High Pressure there is playing some serious defense for the CONUS on the models
  17. Storms to the west of Toledo are starting to strengthen pretty quickly
  18. It did appear pretty violent at the time. And somewhat close to the radar too
