    You have to figure if this stalls the rain amounts and flooding could be historic in places

    I wonder if even 5-10 mph per hour in forward speed this weekend could be the difference between a cat 2 and a tropical storm?

    I’m as giddy as a teenager going on their first date. Only difference is I hope the results are better this time

    Of my few Belle memories as I was only eight then was a tremendous thunderstorm the night before. Hence my “pre” obsession

    Isn’t it moving a bit too slow for that though?

    Exactly. That’s my “concern” here. A Cat 3 just meandering north until it makes landfall as a weak cat 1. Got to get it to move more quickly or hope the waters south of us sustain it longer than is likely

    If it comes in at that weird angle wouldn’t it also be over the Gulf Stream for a period? Maybe mitigating the rapid weakening a bit?

    I mean we’ve only had satellite since the 60’s and ob’s for 400 years so I suppose it’s possible something popped in that location before and affected us?
