  1. Still it might be wise to do some cleaning up in anticipation of later precip, come what may. waiting for a little more light.
  2. Wow. Belford is not " down the shore" its Raritan Bay, a few miles across from SI. No question that is very concerning. With sleet seen well into west central NJ already, one can't help but wonder. Still, everyone seems confident of a massive amount of snow coming.
  3. So this lull is temporary then....sounds like a good time to do some cleanup while the opportunity exists....
  4. Are we in a lull or is this the dry slot NWS was hinting out? They mention something in Mt Holly, but did not seem to think it would be persistent, if I read correctly.
  5. we seem to have done real well in our area this time out; this is a good snowfall for us even if it stops here ( though I am assured it will commence once again; right now not much going on and don't know how long we sleeted ) so I will clean up soon in anticipation of more; I'm seeing various reports here that do make me wonder if we will have tons more, but I'm always a bit skeptical. Looks real nice out. Some decent drifts.
  6. Haven't seen amounts like that in years; gonna be hard to believe it after all this time. Probably have to do two shifts of cleanup. Not a young lad anymore.
  7. Seems underdone, we are at around 6 or so in Woodbridge. I confess I woke up to my wife shoveling outside, looked around, thought meh....didn't realize it was only around 1 am! Thought it was early morning....it's not coming down as hard ATM but I assume it will get cranking again....
  8. Craig Allen now that I remember. Decent met though, no? He was mainly talking about runs since yesterday. Beyond that, I can't say. There's no model out to lunch saying it will be a less severe event. We're going to get slammed; anytime you get over a foot and a lot of wind, and top it off with some rain, you are going to have serious travel and cleanup issues.
  9. FWIW, just heard a pro say the NAM has been consistent enough that he's sticking with it; doesn't expect much mixing except at the Twin Forks, with most of LI getting a foot an the city as well ( or more ) before any change to rain.
  10. I lived through it. Worked as a weekend guard at a Foodtown warehouse. I believe it was a Friday night event; I brought an extra sandwich with me for the guy who was stuck there all night. I used the letter recognizing my " bravery" for years after that when applying for jobs....
  11. Yeah I see that. I just remember some picture posted here eons ago with some dude in a mets outfit, for some reason I thought it was Anthony. No disrespect intended for either of you.
