  1. I'll wait for December thanks. Still waiting for the seas to calm down....waiting...waiting....thoughts turning to retirement.
  2. Been nothing but swells on the ocean punctuated by rough seas; can't get out to the fish. of course the weather will cool and the fish will move out of range now. For the first time, thinking about moving south and living near a lake. Winter really is too long here, even if it doesn't always seem that way.
  3. Great. Then it will disappear in December and not return again til April.....
  4. ALways a little sad to see the seasons change, but I prefer the fall weather to summer. The long wet, cold winters are starting to wear on me; it doesn't snow enough in my parts to make winter sports possible, and isn't warm enough for things like fishing. Never thought I'd say it, but am looking to retire where the fishing season is longer.
  5. Got about 6 inches and was lucky to see even that.
  6. One of the great cinematic performances of all time; Scott refused the Oscar. And he never equalled that feat; most embarrassingly appearing in Day of the Dolphin, which was not only ludicrous for its talking dolphins but boring to boot. At the end you are rooting for the bad guys to come kill everyone on the beach so the movie can end.
  7. Got married in Aug 93 and the priest wouldn't put the AC on. Even though someone passed out during an earlier service.
  8. I wasn't in the bullseye for any storm that year, but the 2/6 was insane because 30 mins away they had 18-20, and I was progged to get 8-12. Got 3. Drove the kids to the Camden Aquarium that Sunday, so the kids could see how much snow it got. We had the run of the place, they were open for business. Later that summer I was visited the DC zoo and the Cape May zoo, both had sustained damage from the "snowstorms" ( plural ) that winter; My biggest storm was the Dec 09 one that year at 10 inches.
  9. I don't even keep track of the heat. I don't go outdoors until late August when it starts to break. Seriously, I stay inside. With the AC blasting.
  10. I famously told my colleagues it was going out to sea....
  11. Which one? Only the last one gave me anything to talk about, somewhere around 8-12. The others were nothing, and 3-4.
  12. You wouldn't ever be a teacher with your attitude here in any district I worked in. I wouldn't let you near any student of mine. A teacher who chastises those who ask a question is harmful. You would be suspended in any decent district for that kind of behavior. It's not up to you to police this place. God doesn't wake up in the morning and think he is you. Sounds like I struck a nerve with you on the social skills issue. Good. Now leave me alone.

  13. Indeed, 1-3 for NYC. They are professionals too. They have as much claim as the others. So I don't know what to expect in reality. If its 3 inches for the city then everyone is right. Though they are still saying 4-7 on WNYC today.
  14. Not gonna pan out that way He's not too different from NWS really, he is justa little too far north with the1-3 area. Bring it down to a little south of 95 and he'd be in line with them. He could very well be right though
  15. From what I see here, in central NJ, we need a neg NAO for a big storm. The storms that were not during that phase busted here but delivered to CT and LI. Seems clear evidence to me. Of course, anything is possible I guess.
