We all know that just stepping out of our house increases our risks.  Vending machines are a bigger risk.  The main issue is that again, you don't have millions of people getting hurt by vending machines and swamping our hospitals.

Not so sure about that last sentence...

  3. Thx! I selfishly miss ‘em though, truth be told.

When Hay left last year, I made dinner a few nights later and grabbed one too many plates to serve the grub unconsciously thinking she was still around.

And after Ri left last Sat, went to make a sammy the other day and realized my hot sauce companion was gone.

    The little things.

At least I have tonight’s storms to look forward to. Oh, wait...

i am almost positive it was one. mr map questioned me if it was one of those impostor butterflies, but pretty sure it was a monarch. haven't seen any caterpillars

That’s awesome. Thought I saw one the other day while watching through the kitchen window in front of my functioning dishwasher.

Alas, it was only a swallowtail. :(

But my dishes were washed! :)

  6. Ty, @BlizzardNole. That’s awesome. Apprec.

I'm going into year four with this hobby and having a blast. Raised and released sixty five monarchs last year. And one black swallow. (Midlife crisis ftw.)

Been a strange season so far like others have echoed. Lightning bugs were way late, and few, compared to previous. Only seen three yellow swallows in the wild and no black swallows except for the ones that over wintered on my porch. Way fun to go from Aug of last year to this Spring and have twenty of ‘em emerge.

Still haven’t seen a monarch this season as well. But did find these four cats today on my milkweed. :)

i need to take more flower pics for you, everything i planted is thriving and looking great

That’s awesome. Would love to see ‘em, ty.

This pic is kinda funny, imo. Wild flower seeds I spread years ago are finally thriving where I usually mulch. Waiting on a letter from the HOA...

hey @FXW176 got my flowers in the ground over the weekend. need to run out and pick up more to fill my space. But i noticed new growth on all of them yesterday, so the transplant didn't screw them up too much. so exciting!

Sweeet @mappy, send a pic if ya can. Been busy with work, yuck, and only been able to mulch my main habitat. Gonna plant seedlings tomorrow, but will still be a bit before they flower. Need to make a run to the local nursery as well.

Did release Swallow #13 for the season today though. (And #14 right after.) P sure this one was a male. Waaay different markings:
