  1. What was nice this summer was unlike in 2024, when upwelling kept water temps in the 50s most of the summer, this year it was 70s from June through now yet.
  2. Ocean temp is still in the low 70s at the beaches. Had quite a few rescues yesterday in this area
  3. This may be the most rain in Point Pleasant Beach in 2 months.
  4. Gorgeous beautiful but breezy day at the beach currently here.
  5. got zip, zilch, nada last night, and expecting similar Saturday along the beach.
  6. I am so sorry for your loss. A brilliant mind and I always enjoyed his voice of reason in the politics sections.
  7. No, that would cause upwelling. Onshore from east, northeast, or light southeast will also sustain warmth. Strong west or strong southeast will upwell like I mentioned happened last summer.
  8. The ocean temp at Point Pleasant Beach yesterday afternoon was close to 80 degrees. Went for a swim after work. Warmest I've ever felt this time of year. Great flip from the endless upwellings we experienced last summer. Also a bunch of cow nose rays scared folks out of the water before I got there as folks thought they were sharks.
  9. We are expecting an update on the spring fire season for New Jersey at 1:30 from our DEP. Really need a soaking Sunday night before the temps rise next week.
  10. Spectacular day. Definitely over performing as I lay out in swim trunks on a new beach chair in the back yard.
  11. we need more moisture - in whatever form - as we start to approach fire season. The next 7 days looks dry.
  12. I'll take a foot at the beach. Anything over that is just superfluous.
  13. Just flipped to sleet in Hamilton. The radar depicted line is spot on as always.
  14. Still snow out here by Hamilton/Robbinsville area. Moderate at times. Not sticking to pavement.
  15. There's a LOT of hype by the social media cowboy click weather enthusiasts for next week. Good lord! If all of their weeks out predictions came true I'd be sitting on 70 inches this season.
  16. Melting underway here in PPB after about 4-5 inches. Finally I can say it's the most snow since January 2022.
  17. Monmouth Ocean Mercer Middlesex counties have nothing in common with cape May or Bergen counties. Don't do this. Central NJ exists and we're getting snow this evening. That's what matters.
  18. I mean I get it, it's a hyperlocal issue. Southern Monmouth northern ocean east of the parkway has gotten shafted since 2022. We can't even get more than 1.5 out of one system. A few miles into Wall and it's a different story.
