    Mjo still looks good imo for a colder start to January. I would expect to see higher hgts in Ak as we work deeper into the first week of January

    Haha. Ya know this, we can’t punt an entire month of winter at this latitude and expect a good winter. Normally strong ninos are one and done around here.

    We should get a 2-3 week stretch of cold weather come January. The standing wave in p7 is finally dissipating and we will have a new wave form in p1. The enso map for p3 and p4 for Nino January is cold in the east

    Ground was too warm to make that event plowable. last event that required snow removal in the metro was 1/22/22

    I think the higher hgts in AK wait until we enter p3. Todays eps backed off a bit in the 11-15 day of higher hgts in that area

    MJO still looks favorable going in the first of the year. I agree, temperatures will be an issue to start 2024. My hope is the AK ridge goes more poleward as with work in p3 of the mjo
