  1. 18Z GFS showing 4-5" of snow followed by .5" of ice for MBY
  2. Lets go ahead and lock this in now and call it a day.
  3. It probably does, but those events don't stick in my mind as much as the "4-6 inchers that turn into sleet storms".
  4. 3k has it sleeting all the way to Janesville, with a central WI jackpot. I have been burned many many times underestimating WAA.
  5. Yeah this run is going to throw out some nice totals.
  6. Plenty of time for the players to move around a bit, but I am not as pumped about siggy ice as I was a few days ago. Hopefully things trend colder.
  7. Sure why not. Trend in the high res guidance seems to be to keep mby and ORD frozen until about hour 45-46, which is plenty of time to lay down a few good inches of snow with some nice ripping bands.
  8. Follow the multi-season trend and bet on whatever is less impressive, weaker, and more sheared.
  9. Good to see I haven’t lost my optimistic demeanor and consistent “glass half full” outlook...
  10. And were we tracking the latest first 1” snow at ORD recently as well? If I recall, we managed to screw that up with about a week to go.
  11. May as well push for some futility records. But I am sure we will find a way to screw that up too.
  12. Hell this euro run may try to get them in the warm sector. Raining in Green Bay at 185, lol
  13. And they aren’t even save worthy. Not like these things are true clown maps spitting out 24”+
  14. I miss the days where we could get a storm that models ticked up in intensity each run, and it panned out. I think the last one I remember was a “hybrid-clipper” in like ‘16 or ‘17. Each run ticked up the snow and it still overperformed. The last couple years it has been a slow death as we wait for the storm to miss the phase and shear out to south dominated garbage.
  15. With the way they measure at ORD, this is a lock.
  16. Ah, classic postcard christmas. Brown ground with a subzero windchill.
  17. Lots of butt hurt in here for a “storm” that was never actually modeled on fantasy land. Always “we are getting closer” or “nice trend”. This kind of pissing and moaning for a real threat vanishing is one thing, but to be upset that the weenie hallucination disappeared is beyond ridiculous.
