  1. I think I'm on track to break 90 again today...
  2. Interesting! I heard one this morning as well. Just the one time, and then I haven't heard it since. Maybe it's just one guy, making the rounds lol.
  3. Beautiful partly cloudy, 80°F and breezy, though just a little on the humid side. Dug in half-a-dozen plants and mowed the front (the back is still shaded, and therefore still soaking wet). Now I'm drenched and finished with yardwork for today.
  4. Much better, thank you! Everything else looks pretty nice as well.
  5. They also mostly fixed the "whitespace" issue. Ended up with .96" of rain today! I think we're about done though. Nice, lazy day full of thunderstorms. Can we please have more like this!
  6. I think it would be ok if it was more often than just one huge BOOM every once in a while. I'd hate to have actual PTSD right now. That said, I have a whole big-a$$ box of fireworks to set off tomorrow night at my parent's farm.
  7. Ok, I get it, fireworks are awesome. But can we PLEASE save them for, oh I dunno, tomorrow night (or tomorrow, at the very least)??? Someone has been setting off one huge firework every 30-60 minutes this afternoon in my neighborhood and it's giving me a freaking heart attack each time.
  8. Lots of screen real estate going unused here. I do have a 1440p monitor but it looks kinda silly all the same.
  9. And just like that, we got almost .5". Kinda makes up for all the rain we didn't get earlier this week!
  10. Oops, nevermind, we just got a pretty good soaking. Oh well.
  11. Perfect mowing the lawn weather, especially in July. Just gotta dodge some sprinkles.
  12. Drove through that really big line on the turnpike heading west. It got dark enough to where I had to take off my sunglasses and then it absolutely DUMPED. Traffic slowed to a crawl, of course, but I made it through unscathed. That was fun. Got home and measured .64" in the back yard meter. Yay, free skywater!
  13. Good luck! We got .03". Hope there's more free skywater tomorrow!
  14. HUGE storms all around me. Getting absolutely FRINGED. Dammit.
  15. 98.7°F right now IMBY (reached a high of 98.9). Got up to 96 at work, but again, the breeze and slightly lower humidity helped a ton. I am so done with working outside this week... One more day though and then it's my weekend.
  16. Yeah you'll need RedSky to tell you it's not hot enough.
  17. Might I also recommend an outer layer of impermeable Tyvek? Wouldn't want to sully your clothing, after all. Oh, and make sure you're using the OSHA-recommended gas vapor P100 filter cartridges on that full-face respirator just to make breathing that much more difficult enjoyable.
  18. Home thermometer peaked at 97.8°F, but it "only" made it up to 94 at work today. Just two more days to go and then I'm off on Friday. This heat is nuts, but we had a nice breeze again today which made it somewhat tolerable. Still hoping for some afternoon boomers tomorrow and Thursday!
  19. Today's high IMBY was 96.8°F (currently 94). Only hit 92 at work though, so there's that...
  20. A couple of days ago, the forecast called for rain/t-storms for each day this week, starting today. Yesterday the storms were pushed back to Tuesday. It has now changed to maybe some rain on Thursday. I get that forecasting is an incredibly difficult endeavor, but that's borderline ridiculous. I mean, why even bother? Rhetorical question. It's just disheartening as a rain/snow lover to continuously see my hopes for a downpour/blizzard dashed again and again and again. /rant
  21. I'm reading almost exactly the same as the local airport (aside from the wind) imby:
  22. We got the barest hint of a sprinkle earlier today, and it's looking like a repeat for tomorrow. Not really digging this heat and humidity without the temporary relief of a solid downpour now and then. We were originally forecasted for isolated T-storms all weekend (which I guess has proven true for other locales) and then stormy early next week. Now I see the storm threat has been pushed to Tuesday. We shall see it if plays out at all.
