And that is anti-vax thinking, because it allows them to say no when we are in the middle of a pandemic and over 500k people are dead. Allowing people to wait out the clock and not get the vaccine is not what we need at all. Polio, measles, smallpox were all eradicated because everyone got vaccinated.

Because everyone won't have a shot by then, at least not June and it is an open opportunity for anti-vax shitheads to have a free out. They don't deserve a free pass.

Let me tell you how hard up I am to get vaccinated, right now have a standing appointment in Lima Ohio to get vaccinated on Saturday. If I find something closer I will take it but at this point I am willing to drive 150 miles one way to get the shot and be done with it.

I wouldn't mind getting some precip for soil moisture and even a couple inches of snow to hit average. Its march it would be gone in a couple days anyways

I get that aspect of it, but how do you handle the situations I presented? 5" of snow in 24 hours is impactful here but not warning criteria, and unless warning criteria gets lowered having no advisory makes things more difficult.

Just because they don't work 100% doesn't mean they don't work for the most part. California is a special case because there is a lot of entitled people who think they are invincible out there.

I have lost about half of what you have and I have a long way to go myself still but you are correct, it is what only some have the ability to do right now. This assumption that people pop out of bed one day and can start a massive lifestyle change is a bit of leap.

A lot of people in California that have been treating this like it is no big deal, so it isn't surprising, though per capita Florida is still worse.
